Wilki please help MAJOR bug with converting checks..

This thread opened a can of worms we should not be surprised about.

full story can be read here at my source

My guildleader lost a 26 mil check that was locked down in his house and was replaced with a backpack with 1 gold piece in it.

He just got done speaking to a GM about it and was told that numerous people had the same thing happen to them. WTF? This happened on Lake Superior.

Just some background on where the check came from. There was a bug that caused vendors to poof and be replaced by their backpack when a house was converted. This was documented by JC the Builder and Count De Mone, who housed my GMs vendor.

He had a vendor with 26 mil on it that converted to a 26 mil check. Most people who had vendors there lost all their stuff to a player who looted most of the checks. Another of my guildies quit over it as he lost 80 mil in that fiasco.

The house owner was able to rescue the 26 mil check just as the other person was trying to loot it.

Is there a major bug that we should consider a revert to correct? Anyone else want to own up to losing big checks

Have you been locked in a closet in a hut on a remote desert island with no access to any type of internet connection?

The story about the gold wipe even made Yahoo.

Your GM shouldn't have been doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing.

These posts are always "my friend" or "my GM" or "My uncles friends brothers mothers cat". Why don't these people ever post them self if they are so bothered about it.
Well if they give him back 26 million they better give, my friend, my GM, my uncles, my brothers, my mothers, my mothers cat, and me 26 million too! Cuz you know we all got bugged with that check conversion bug too ya know...
[/sarcasm for those too dense to know sarcasm]

Yes, we're aware that this is occuring in some instances. However, everything that was done yesterday was fully logged, so we'll be remedying this next week sometime.

There is no need for a revert of any kind.

Are you guys also aware that any player can apparently access the special red boxes and loot the checks?

This is a nasty rumor, I have not heard and credible evidence to support it.
I am going to have to agree that this is probably nothing more than a rumor. At this point we have not found a way to access these checks without GM assistance. However, if someone does have credible information on how this can be done, please send me the details.
