I am going to try to be as calm as I can possibly be, at this moment. The treatment I got from the worthless curs known as GM's could likely be grounds for temporary insanity in any murder trial.

On the Drachenfels shard, Fel side, right next to the stables, there is a house. It's a modest house, not a palace of any sort. It's the only larger house plot on the island and it's mine. It is outside of guard zone. It is also the meeting and jump off place for the 2 largest guilds on the shard. It is also the rune library for all of those people plus my living quarters for my 6 accounts. Every character I have is trapped there right now. We can not use any of the rune books, etc..

I hope you are seeing the issue here. I don't care if you folks put your events on MY island. But...and I am really trying to hold my temper here.... Would you, kindly, reform the recall zone to:

1/ Any tile outside of guard zone

2/ Include my house and immediate vicinity around it in a recall/gate zone

One of these 2 items MUST be accomplished and with all due haste. Feel free to IM me for more information.

You have hamstrung a few hundred folks with this change, on my shard alone. I am a bit more than surprised that a little more research was not done...like did you have any customers that you would SHUT DOWN due to these changes??

Please remedy this unacceptable situation. If I am not able to use my fine living establishment, which I am unwilling to give up or change due to it's fantastic location, then why would I continue to play...and pay??

Oh..btw..you might want to check both the Tram and Fel facets on all shards and see if you have any other paying customers you just BOHICA.

Vesper has had no-recall and it's been fun.

Ilshenar was also a lot better when it had no recall as well.

Recall or lack of, especially how it has always been in UO means to me the difference between adventure and farming.

Ilshenar feels more like an adventure. The invasions feel more like an adventure. Most other places feel like a place to farm (even the ant lion spot I frequent in the ant caves, even though I can't recall in, the entrance is so close to my cabin that it makes no difference).

Like I stated earlier in this thread, I don't mind recalling OUT of somewhere, but I'd like to see recalling INTO dungeons (and by nature active scenario areas) blocked.

And to the person that compared this to Iraq and asking soldiers to stay out there lawn, those people aren't paying the soldiers that are going on their lawn and thats the difference. This is a game, not war, and its offensive that you would compare something that many people on both sides are losing there lives to, innocent or not, to a game.

Throughout the world we're finding similar areas where the Ophidians are disrupting the blanket spells that keep guard zones, teleport areas, and town boundaries working. What are they planning for the moongates? How did they manage to do this?

The good news is that not all of Serpent's Hold is affected - it's about a thirty second run from the west jungle on the southern island to your house on Drachenfels.

I still understand your problem though: you can't safely recall, and have to hazard the dangers of Felucca for those thirty seconds. I would strongly advise you to call upon your patrons to begin shoring up your defenses - the Ophidians must have a reason for blocking the spells in your area.

Now see, that's the right way to look at it. It is your island - your home, Serpent's Hold, obviously means a great deal to you and it's rare to see your firery kind of loyalty. I hope your home may be a haven to anyone who needs help while defending the island, should the invasion indeed reach that far.
