What ever happened to powerhour, i think i was away from the game when it was changed. I tried searching the forums, but couldnt find anything. Does anyone know why it was changed? I personally thought it was great.

Is there a page on here disscussing it?

Changed long time ago bro. I really missed back when you can go from 30 weapon skill/tactics/anatomy to 3 GM in 2.5 powerhours. And Parry in 1 powerhour with people casting blade spirits. GGS system blows big time comparing to PH.

Curiously enough, it's still listed in the ingame help system.But that's not really surprising. "Powerhour" is still listed in the commands on guide.uo.com

But everyone's pretty sure it's no longer around. Which is fine with me. I don't think people should be able to GM a skill in a matter of hours.

Power hour is how i got my taming up so quick, now if im lucky ill get .1 an hour, ugh!

.1 an hour! PFFFT I say to you, sir! I get maybe .1 a day lol.

where is ur taming at?

my taming is still 85 lol from the advanced char, but my hubbys taming is like 115 or so real taming. I kinda gave up on mine lol.

It took me close to a year to get 120 taming from my adv char token. I didnt really work on it much after 110 tho, but I just did the .1 everyday. I also have 120 vet/lore, which I did the hard way, I didnt get on a boat and 8x8 it, like alot of my friends did that I played with at the time. Once you hit that 120 tho its an awesome feeling. Too bad now my tamer is just there for rezzing peoples pets that dont have tamers tho.......

no way it can be .1 a day unless u work it only 30 min in a day...hehe....now at 115 i can see taking really long, mine is only at 107 and stop working it and just do the ggs

Well according to the old GGS chart, if you have under a certain amount of total points, there are hourly charts. Since my tamer was only a 6 skill char, I never had 700 points until way later, I think at the most ever for my skill total, I was at like 27 or so hours. So I log on at 7am, get a gain, the next day, 10am or so, and so on. It was possible to get the gains once a day, but the time differed everyday. There were times when I would log on at 3am(I tried to time out the late gains for weekends) to get the gain, then go back to sleep. I never worked on it for more than a few min, and of course there were days when I didnt get my gain, so I just waited a day, to start out the timer again for earlier in the day, but I was very determined to get this, as it was the first 120 I ever got.

All I know is, .1 gain, .2 at most.. per day! Is *am so tempted to quote name found in that whats wrong with this name thread...* so I will shorten it a bit.. WeTarDid!!! Power Hour at least gave you a chance! With GG, you are lucky to get the second .1 in an hour. When you are working for those last 2 or three points just to GM stage, it's misery knowing you are finished getting points after the second .1 that day.

My tame is at 113 and lore is 117 (roughly)
I'm lucky if I can get a gain in either a day, no matter what I am taming. It's also difficult getting vet for me now too. I only get it when I rez a pet.
