Thread: Virtue armour set
Player: Let me get this straight you have to buy the first two pieces of the 8 piece set to go along with the third piece, humility cloak.
is this correct?
CatHat: I suspect there will be a quest for each piece when we're done. The 8th Age tokens are certainly a fast way to get a few parts and were 'promotional'. Years from now, folks who come in might want to run the quest - so it would make sense to have it so they can get those pieces without the tokens. Player: the cloak was certainly tricky and tough to get, I sort of wish the first two weren't sold at all like they were.
CatHat: Yeah - but given how well the cloak quest came out - the remaining quests will be pretty challenging too. Probably worth running even if a person did get an item or two outside of the quests. Player: will the cloak and eighth item, assuming six will cover the body armor regions (head, neck, legs, chest, hands, arms)
CatHat Yeah - it will cover all - in fact you forgot about the feet there.
And yes - the stats to jump up to something that's respectable when you put them all together - as opposed to the definitely underpowered qualities they have when alone. Player: If people really want them they can trade or buy them like anyone else who hasn't got them yet. Leave some rarity to them, seriously what's the point of collecting the set if it isn't going to have some rarity?
CatHat: That might still happen - like i said - we haven't even finished the quests for stuff out there yet.
If a quest for the items handed out in the 8th age promotion is ever done - I imagine it might be the most difficult of all - to satisfy the really hardcore players and preserve the rarity of the items. We'll definitely see how well received the other quests are first - i have no doubt of that.
