UO Sites Should Support One Another

A rukus occured on UO Stratics, due to them posting some news SosariaLive sent in to them. Wilki responded to remind the players that they need a sense of community, in and out of the game:

Player: Judging from her Interviews, isn't that pretty much who El supports and apparently admires anyway? Sorry, but it really is my honest opinion....
(the post has been deleted and replaced with Pwnd by Wilki..so this is the only snippit we can see)

Wilki: Allow me to give you my honest opinion, as someone who talks to and deals with all of these fan sites. If you send news to Stratics, they generally post it. Same with UOForums, , SosariaLive, etc. I think your insinuation is unfair, and it'd be nice to see the some praise for the exchange of news and content and not try to start some kind of intermural drama when it happens.

It reminds me of the "Mages are getting nerfed, the devs must play archers!" or the "The GM's didn't ban this guy, so they must be best friends!" posts.

It just doesn't belong here, as it certainly does not build a sense of community.

I couldnt agree more.Why do people have to be so 'exclusive' of others
.We are all playing the same game no matter what shard we play on or what forums we post in .

I don't agree fully, while I agree every UO site should help each other out, what about the UO sites who scam or are known to be trouble makers? should those sites be "helped" as well?

I can't see Stratics, or UOforums helping sites like askchipchop or exploitsrusuo.com (Vague examples heh)

That's true...although I do hope/assume Wilki was referring to 'good' UO sites hehe

Ive never seen any good come from 'bad mouthing' other people... I extend that opinion to sites. "if you can't say something good..... say nothing" While I don't agree with silence when actual damage is occurring, this doesn't seem to fall into that category.
