UO becomming a level based game ????

Comment Only few infomantion and screenies, hase ben given out about the Kingdom Reborn project, but to me i looks very much like classes. what will you prefere ? A Classic skill based UO or a level thread - mill ? i myself would leave UO, if it comes to level / class-bassed game, that wouldent be Ultima Online HATE levels....  A Europa Player ######################### No need to worry. KR is primarily a graphics and UI upgrade. The game rules won't change much. There will, apparently, be a new and extremely overpowered race (probably Dwarves) which will, in addition to being able to equip everything to date, have a variety of overpowered artifact-class equipment that only they can wear. Just like with Elves... ######################### hummm "From the pictures" you say? Your seeing a turn to level base from those (3? 6?) screenies? I'm "hearing" (reading) a little prejudice/bias IN your conclusion/question (which you admit to:"HATE levels..") ... hmmmm Explain what it is your "seeing" then ... maybe your not just a trolling ######################### I see VERY stereotype chars. A Warrior (perhaps a palladin ) and a caster. proberly a mage. And yes i H A T E levelbased games, no freedom at all. And i Love UOs gameplay, i would hate see it destroyed . ######################### *scratches head* how do you get an impression of classes/levels from the few little nuggets of information we've had? I've not felt the slightest hint of such a breeze. ######################### I wouldn't count on UO becoming a level-based game, given that many of the UO player base prefer the skill-based system and UO is one of the few games that offer this kind of system. As for the screenies, it could just be player (Dev?) preference on how to dress certain templates. A guy wearing full plate casting Flamestrike just doesn't seem to have the same effect. ######################### Leurocian Ultima Online Designer To my knowledge, there are no plans to make UO a level based game.   |
