'Ultima' Bleeding Back Into UO

I still have my Ultima IV, V and VI lying around somewhere... those were my favorites.. I have every single sequel installed on my computer however (Ultima Collection) and play them all from time to time.

glad to hear I'm not the only one that still has my original copies:grin: I have 3-9 and Ultima Collection. as for my favorite its a toss up between 4 and 7

Oohh and I just loved the cloth maps

I found playing Ultima VII and VII part 2 actually even more enjoyable using Exult. It allows for higher resolutions and playing in windowed mode so it's a way more modern and user friendly experience, not to mention working like a charm.

And for the lazy there's built in cheats and stuff like that. I'll admit I maxed out all my party's stats immediately 'cause I couldn't be arsed with dying too much, just wanted to enjoy the story in game again. After all I've already been through it the hard way

do i have to buy or are there free downloads somewhere? I am a wanna be Pie-rate and I can't be one if I buy them. J/k...but, I would rather down load them if they are available.

a good Pie-rate can find anything Arrggg! but that would be um goo....er wrong ya thats it wrong

EA should release the collection cd as a download It still seams to have a following and would not cost them anything

Best place to buy the Ultima Collection anymore really is eBay. Best place to "find" it would be..I don't know.. Someone in rec.games.computer.ultima.series on usenet might be able to help you out. I'm not sure if EA considers any of them to be abandonware at this point or not.
