"tc9 - Kr" ? [ with some fun Dev responses ]

taken from Thread :- "TC9 - KR" ? found in UO.UHall

This a closed beta for Kingdom Reborn? A dev test? Something just to see if anyone notices?

############################

Don't see that on my list, Crysta ~~ did ya try? mayhaps yer in and don't know it??

############################

Its gone now.. ah well.. it WAS there.

############################

I'M on it right now
It seems just like a regular test shard though

############################

It's probably just a more or less regular test shard that they setup for their internal KR testing and the upcoming unveiling.

###########################

just caught it on the list..... hopped on a placed a keep... logged out and it's gone

I can neither confirm nor deny the existance of "TC9 - KR".

Nor can I either confirm nor deny that "KR" stands for "Knight's Redoubt", "Knowledgeable Recluse", "Kobold Romance", "Kludge Redeemer", or, even, "Kingdom Reborn".

#########################

Are you... fishing for comments?

Ouch!

Serious, or rather, completely non-seriously, I was just being silly. I suppose I should have littered my post with smileys, but I was brought up typing in an age before emoticons and I never really got into the habit (yes, one reason I chose the name Coelacanth is that I am as ancient as the hills... No, that's a mixed metaphore... "as ancient as the oceans"? Doesn't sound right... What about "I'm positively antediluvian").

Simply put, I find any use of the phrase "I can neither confirm nor deny" inherently ridiculous, and use them only to that effect.

#########################

Why this level of secrecy over a video game? and why would there be an open test center to test KR? It was already stated that they were able to connect to a production shard with the new client.

Now a test center for KR would only be useful for testing features in the new client that require additional coding on the servers to operate. So there would be no benefit with having a public test center for it at this point, other then to generate rumors.

1) Stress testing new client -- production shard
2) Testing new features that require server side coding: private test center.
3) Open test center == pubic beta.

#########################

You ask silly questions and draw even sillier conclusions.

Yeah, the client is supposed to run on production shards, but that doesn't mean that it's ready for that right now. I don't think we would want them testing on a live shard until they were sure it wasn't going to cause server crashes or create other problems in the game.

I seriously doubt that they put the public test server up just to generate rumors. Gimme a break.

#########################

I think it stands for "Kludge Repair" Or "Kludge Replacement"

##########################

*starts looking for the hidden anagram*

(as an aside, if deep sea serpents ever become tamable, I'm going to name one "Coelacanth" and try to teach it to teleport onto land)

I can definately tell you that there is no significance to the fact that "I can neither confirm nor deny" is an anagram for "my terrific neon dinner nacho".

It was up for a bit, but more than likely crashed when they ran Richardo's trial.

Does that mean you can "Neither confirm or deny" your existence on it, Maddux ?

I can neither confirm nor deny my presence in any beta, due to non-disclosure agreements.
