Sosaria LIve Telethon for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Thanks to Queen Mum for bringing this to our attention. This post will be stickied until the SL marathon is over, to make it easier for you to find the info.

Everyone across the world is familiar with the devestation in the Southern US States caused by Hurricane Katrina. Thousands of lives were lost and thousands more have been completely interrupted, forcing people... families to relocate and start over.

These people are not only plagued with the emotional stresses of losing loved ones and having to completely start anew, but they are physically threatened by diseases from the exposure they have been subject to by the flood waters being contaminated with human waste, insects and chemicals.
~
SosariaLive.com Staff has seen this and is willing to step up to the plate as best we can. We will be holding a 36 hour telethon, on air - live DJs starting at 7pm EST on Friday, September 23rd and lasting until 7am on Sunday the 25th.
~
During this time, not only will be we playing a variety of great music, we'll be taking donations for Crazy Joe's website Gamers Charity. Vendors will be set up at Luna locations across all shards and donations can be made directly to the DJ on air. We will have gold levels for different items such as shout outs, song requests and dedications.

How can you help? Aside from tuning in, enjoying and donating, if you have a shop in Luna and would like to offer up a vendor spot to Sosaria Live (or donate goods to sell for donations), please contact Queen Mum at AIM QueenMum4UO or ICQ 168-812-018. You may also contact her via PM here or SL Forums. Her email is queenmumis@icqmail.com. She will be able to work out the details of vendor spots and item donations with you.
