Some posts while I have been away
There hasnt been a great deal of new stuff posted by Dev's while I have been away but I thought I would set a few of the links here for those wanting to have a read on any of them.
Taken from Thread -: Tired of Waiting for New Content Only to be Let Down! in UO U.Hall Comment In my personal opinion the Devs should post at least a day ahead when they are going to add content to the ongoing storylines. (Inu, Ricardo, Blackrock, Timelord, Book of Truth, etc.) The reason I think this is a excellent suggestion is that most of the people who have been following these events look forward to when they are added; mostly on Fridays around 9 EST for me, and we wait week after week on Fridays for these updates. When no content is added people tend to get disappointed and disillusioned, and they give up on the storyline. Players tend to put other in game events, peerless hunts, and most other plans for their Friday nights on hold in the hopes that new storyline content will be added. Over and over they are let down, as the time between new content grows longer. (Yes I know they are busy working on KR and SA right now so we should give them some slack.) Still how many players have just given up on trying to follow the story because of the long spaces of time between content being added? How many times have they started new events without wrapping up old events? How many of these events are just filler to keep us busy and we grow bored with them fast? Have you lost track of the story because its been so long? How many players have no idea at all when new content is added because they do not constantly check every 15 to 20 minutes the UOHerald and Stratics boards on Friday nights? So only a select few who linger at both these places know of new events (Yes I’m guilty of hovering myself. Though when I do find out something I ICQ everyone who is on my friends list and tell them to spread the word.) With a day’s warning everyone will know when there will be a new event to take part in. Maybe they should even have the town criers calling out the news and not stuff from events many months ago. I guess that yes I am bothered because I give up doing other fun things in game to take part in these events that may or may not happen. I get other people excited by spreading the word that something may happen and they are let down too. They just now tell me to contact them if anything interesting ever happens, and I can tell that they too are tired of the long delays between good events. I try to get other involved and interested in the storyline and zilch happens that night, and I feel bad for getting their hopes up for nothing. Like I stated at first this is just my own opinion that the Devs need to wrap up some of the storylines, clean up after old events and make sure players do know when a new event is going on somehow in game. Mostly we need them to post a day or two ahead that there will be new content this week or there will not be new content. (They don’t have to tell what it is just that it will be happening.) I for one would appreciate it so I can plan ahead what I will be doing instead.

Re: Some posts while I have been away
Some threads just get a natural resurrection, because as this poster states, they just disappear without ever getting an answer.
Comment While it may be honorable to consider taking GM pages on a "most urgent first" basis what happens to the ones who aren't "urgent" but need something taken care of? Case in point, I have a bugged Quiver that Silvani has said to page about. This isn't by any means game stopping but still it needs to be taken care of according to devs and support staff. So I page. I wait 2 hours. No GMs came. I am sure they were taking care of much more urgent pages. Thing is. As I am waiting even more people are paging. Lets say within my page time there are 16 people in queue (I use this number because it's the message I first got). Lets say 9 of them have higher priority pages than mine. The GMs gets done with 4 of them within 15 minutes. Within that 15 minutes lets say another 6 people page worldwide. Of those 6, 3 of them have high priority pages. So there are 5 left from point "a" plus the 3 so now there's 8 people ahead of me. The GMs takes 20 minutes to take care of 5 people. In that 20 minutes 13 more people page 7 of whom have higher priority cases than I do... You see where I am going with this? After 2 hours I decided to change accounts and join some friends for a peerless or two on a different character. I got an email the next day about how the GM couldn't locate me in game.... well no, he couldn't. I got tired of waiting and logged out. I could have paged on account two character two but I wasn't going to be on for another 2 hours since it was near dinner time and I had to make dinner for my family. So... Riddle me this. Is there some sort of "cap" to the amount of time someone has to wait? I don't think there is. There should be. If someone like Jeremy sees this and I am misunderstanding how the GM queue works please let me know. 2 hours seems like a long time to take care of 16 people. (yes yes I know ignore the queue # but even if...) To read the full thread go to Could a GM page get "pushed down in the queue" indefinitely?
