Wilki: And important thing to realize that I think was forgotten in the last thread is that this is a temporary change. It's not going to fix PvP entirely, and we know that there are other issues that are just as bad as Armor Ignore that we're not addressing in Pub38. The reason why these three things were chosen is because they were way over the top, easy to address and had a low likelyhood of breaking something else.
The real balancing comes after Publish38, and will take into account all of the other concerns that players have. This is no means a complete or finalized solution for PvP, nor does the fact that this is a hard cap indicate that's how we're going to fix it in the long term.
So, maybe 50 damage is too high... but that's why it's on a test center - so we can listen to your feedback and look at the change and tweak it. |
