Question about weapon engraving tool

source taken from UO.UHall

Does anyone know what the NPC charges to recharge this tool?

Do you have to go to NPC tinker?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ando Lead UO QA Tester
Yes, unless one of your characters has enough skill to recharge themself, you can visit an NPC tinker to do this. This information was added to the Vet Rewards page on UO.com shortly before Pub42 was released.
and
Yea Ando that info was added, but it does nto say how much the NPC charges. It just says for a fee..
Weapon Engraving Tool
Used to engrave a single line of text onto a weapon
The engraved line of text is orange and appears below the item title
Initially has 10 uses
Uses a rare gem to engrave that must be replaced periodically:
Only highly skilled tinkerer's can replace the gem
NPC tinkerer's will replace the gem for a fee (you provide the gem)
From what I read, it will cost 100K and a Blue Diamond for the NPC to recharge it.
Weapon Engraving Tool
There are no charges left on this engraving tool.
I can only help with this if you are carrying an engraving tool that needs repair.
Your weapon engraver should be good as new!
You do not have a blue diamond needed to recharge the engraving tool.
You need a 100,000 gold and a blue diamond to recharge the weapon engraver.
It will cost you 100,000 gold and a blue diamond to recharge your weapon engraver with 10 charges.
You cracked the diamond attempting to fix the weapon engraver.
You will need a blue diamond to repair the tip of the weapon engraver. A successful repair will give the engraver 10 charges.
Replace the tip.
Your tinkering skill is too low to fix this yourself. An NPC tinkerer can help you repair this for a fee.
Since you have no tinkering skill, you will need to find an NPC tinkerer to repair this for you.
and
man i think 100k is too much.
Re: Question about weapon engraving tool
100k is way out of line for this ingraver. If you compare this ingraver to a mallot and chisel, this game already uses them in stone carving.
But then again I see some people paying up to 2m to have their weapon ingraved. Thats just as stupid as the recharge price.
I believe the devs need to take care of this and implement them as either a lower vet year *year 1* or make them an everyday item because it really doesn't make enough sense that they would add an assortment of other ingravers and only make the most useless one the hardest to get.
Everyone has their own opinion. I think it's a cool idea.
Re: Question about weapon engraving tool
100k is not that much to acquire in the course of a day for the average uo player. Buying a Faction Trap removal kit or Taxidermy kit are not very inexpensive either.
Though I do remember a time when having a million gold in the bank was such a huge accomplishment. Anyone remember the exact time when gold dropped in value. I think it was right after they introduced Malas and Doom, but I could be wrong.
Re: Question about weapon engraving tool
I started playing when Blackthornes Revenge came out and at that time the price of gold on ebay was front page news on Wired magazine.
