We're putting the following changes up on Test Center - if you get a chance (specifically y'all house decorators) please go poke at this a while.
- Removed the ability to raise and lower an object with a house decoration tool if the item is placed at the same exact location as another item. This had been causing certain multi-tiled items to break
- Fixed issue with the Boiling Cauldron losing its stew on redeeding.
What we're specifically looking for is actions in decorating that are broken by the fix above - please be specific when reporting them. We kinda like this fix, because it does do what we want it to, but we need to know what else it does.

So you are going ahead and preventing items from being stacked on the same tile at the same height? I don't understand why you would say you were going to find another solution and then do the exact same thing again.

*Added*

Tested on test center and you can still have items at the same height as other items. There doesn't appear to be any changes to the interior decorator tool's functionality. So whatever Jeremy said was not accurate or it isn't working as intended.

Nope, we said we needed to look at the implications - hence, putting it on TC.

Does this mean that if you have an object raised a few tiles, then you lock another down on the same tile with the intention of raising it ABOVE the first item, this will no longer work because once they are on the same level you can no longer move it up or down?

If this is how things work, then I say.. WTF??

If not, please explain...

Give it a try before you complain: you may be presenting a non-issue here.

What I'm going to do is: lock down an item, raise it one tile, and lock down hte next item, then moved them up and down, right over the top of each other. If that works then the fix is fine.

Edited: well, I locked downa box on top of a rug, and moved it just fine with the deco tool. I locked down two boxes--and remember one automatically goes up a tile when you set it down on the other's space, so it shouldn't be an issue: it wasn't. Things worked fine moving up and down through each other's space.

When you say "multi-tile items", are you only referring to deeded items that occupy more than one tile (like beds, deedable containers, aquariums etc)? Or do you mean any kind of item (deeded or not) that takes up more than one tile (such as large wooden tables etc)?

Well, here's a specific example: if you take four goza mats, raise them all a tile, put a bed on top of them, then lower a goza mat, the bed will break, and if you try to re-deed it it will go poof. We're not a fan of things going poof. This was aimed at fixing that problem. The reason we put it on TC is, basically, the patch note looks scary and lots of people freaked out, and we're not actually seeing lots of complaints of poofing, so we figured it was safer to let you all beat on it a while and find out just how scary it really is.
