Event Moderator for UO Glamdring posted this wonderful news on Stratics about the return of Event Moderators -

In case you are suffering from a caffeine difficiency malady, I'll let you in on the crux of this post. We will be starting events up again on some shards THIS WEEK!

Keep your eyes open, scan your field of fire and get your flamestrikes in shape for events that everyone is sure to enjoy watching on a grey screen while going OOoooOoOOooo

I do not like the EM events, on Legends they were curupt and friends of the EM got the items especially when they tried the casino in britain. I wish they would go back to scenarios.

With the exception of Royal Guard sashes I've never gotten any items from EM events, and it doesn't matter. The items aren't the point anyway, could well do without handing out any "bribes" in the first place.

What bugs me more about those events is the one-time nature of them which means you gotta be lucky to be there at the right time, and word of an event spreads like wildfire causing masses of folks to gather in one spot and a lagfest is guaranteed. No wonder we get them grey robes when the lag prevents even running away, let alone fighting back...

How are we going to know when an EM is taking place. Is there going to be a notification on Stratics or something in game?

I'm sure our EM will make an appearance shortly. I noticed there were a few other shards where they didn't make the announcement about the EMs being around again. So either our EM is still on vacation (if we keep the same one) or they're busy training the new one. Either way, it shouldn't be too long before we get some action too
