![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Parry? Dagger to a Heavy Axe source Just wondering about weapons parry? Is the game set up the weapons just parry reguardless of weapon type. If you hold up your dagger, will you possibly parry my Heavy Axe? Looking to put some reality into an unreal game. I know. Games have logic too. If I was a very good fighter, maybe I could parry your axe with a dagger. It's unrealistic perhaps, but not illogical. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One handed weapons + shield parry > 2 handed weapons without bushido. 2 handed weapons parry > one handed weapon + shield with bushido. Want to put reality into this game ? Heh. That's never going to happen in a fantasy mmorpg. There'd be no monsters in the game and there would be half the skills missing if they ever went down that path. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Game reality friend. Not real life. All games have a game reality that borrow on principles. Its a logic. Higher level guy kill lower level guy. You know what I mean. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not in this game it doesn't He who can make a newbie account with the most expensive suit and +skill gear can win against those with longer playtime and higher real skills. However I also answered your actual question in the beginning. You can also find more detailed parry differences by reading stratics, they list out for you what the % and formula are for 1 handed without shield, 1 handed with shield, 1 handed without shield w/bushido, and 2 handed with bushido. System works fine what's not fine is people being able to swing halberds and heavy crossbows once every 1.25 seconds. I'd like to see that done in reality regardless how much stamina and strength you had. Or being able to eat apples, drink potions, and bandage yourself all while running / riding on a mount and defending/fighting all at the same time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chuck Norris could do it Dave "CatHat" Brown - UO Character and Environment Artist - EA Mythic ![]() ![]() |

Dagger to a Heavy Axe Well A Skilled Person With The Right Knowledge Can Parry And Axe With There Bare Hands So I Beleive It Is Feasable For A Dagger To Parry A Axe , But The Dagger Weilder Must Have Superior Skills ![]() For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill. |
