PARAGON CU SIDHE : Chance of being COLORED/BLAZE?

Well ive been farming these for a couple weeks now and i just happened to notice a cu sidhe spawn in front of me
clear as day it was bronze then almost instantly its name changed to PARAGON and color as well

I was wondering if this was intended because I would really hate for my blaze cu to be a paragon untamable

If anything what is the percentage of paragon spawn?
Should make the % on colored ones drop slightly too :'

Hex_ this is a question that pops up from time to time and while we can all throw wild speculation & guesses out there, we simply do not have any firm anwers. In earlier posts, I've probably argued strongly that this cannot happen and in later, more recent posts it's both entirely likely and altogether possible I held the opposite view.

It would be wonderful if Leurocian could confirm this one way or the other as it would go hand in hand with the cu sidhe colour-weighting info he & Flutter were kind enough to share with us here.

That said, it's my firm understanding & belief that the poor guy is working himself ragged on UO:KR along with the rest of the Dev Team. On top of that major undertaking, Leurocian has also been working towards addressing some much needed issues on Siege Perilous alongside His Wilki-ness.

In short, and as much as I'd love to believe a blaze could not actually spawn as a paragon, I've also seen colour cu sidhes turn gold & become paragons. The one thing I can say with no hesitation whatsoever is:- I genuinely do not know.

Every cu that spawns has a chance to be coloured (however small!) and every creature in Ilsh has a 1 in 20 chance of being a paragon (source: Stratics).

So taking into account the numbers from Flutter's post which suggest a 1 in 23,301 chance of a blaze spawning and there being a 1 in 20 chance of that Cu also being a paragon would give odds of 1 in 466,020.

That's my understanding of it, you would have to be desperately unlucky to roll both a blaze and a paragon on the same Cu!

When a creature spawns in the world, there is a split second or so when we evaluate if it should spawn as a paragon. If so, then the creature will obtain paragon status along with the hue. So yes, it is possible that you could see a cu sidhe as one hue, and then become a paragon after that.

i have seen this happen many a times....... on everything from cu sidhes to balrons
