cats' gallery .Then I noticed both Coelacanth and Supreem had posted also, so went to see what they had to say.

Then I noticed in his second post some thing in the last paragraph.

Well, let me just say that after dabbling for 10 minutes I got a pink cat head pasted over the face of Horus... and the image looked just like someone had copy & pasted a cat head onto some WH40k art. I mean, it screamed "you've glued a cat head on a scanned book cover."

And so I started to think that what I could use was something that would gather an array of smaller samples of the book cover, render those samples' Fourier transforms, and then essentially perform a logical-or on the bits of all the samples in the array to extract the noise from the original book cover scan, and then apply that noise to the scanned cat head... which would at least give it the illusion of having been from the same book cover scan. At least, I think it would, I hadn't played around with FFTs for a couple decades... but it would be interesting to find out.

It was at this time that I thought that maybe it might be better for me to spend my time making sure that UO:KR boats turned correctly rather than posting a picture of a cat head glued to Horus's battle suit.

Could this mean they are looking at the whole ship/sea travel thing?

It would be nice if they did. But my gut says they have to rework all the graphics for the new client. That would include boats .

That's what I got out of it, and they'll probably actually make boats turn graphically now instead of instantly, but it'll have the same basic movements/commands.
