Official word on the status of UO in light of the recent EA layoff news

You might have heard about the recent restructuring at Electronic Arts.

We want to make it clear that the Ultima Online team is in fact growing. We recently brought on four new artists and more positions will be open within the next few months. We are planning out the next two years of development and some details will be released soon.

Always a good sign, when "restructures" happen, and some division "grow".

Soon is sooo relative :-P The console division took the hardest hit in earnings as retail sales this holiday season were off.
I've said it for years, no way this game, as long as it's profitable (and it is), closes before the 10 year mark. It's just too big of a marketing ploy to miss in the gaming world
