Welcome Niobe...and just send along that there are some of us that realize that the Dev's ARE busy...and we appreciate what they are trying to do.

I do realize the devs are busy and I can only speak from my own point of view as a player. And if I had the incredable talent to be able to develop online games I personally would love to interact with those people that are playing it... although I doubt I would do it on Stratics. The level of disrespect on those forums is at a point where I sure don't blame a lot of devs for NOT posting. This is why the majority of my posting time is spent here at UOF>
That level of childish disrespect simply isn't allowed here.
I did like the level of interaction we got from Leurocian though, and not just because he was a friend.
I hope to see that same level of interation again with the new dev team as well.

I must say I am glad I found this place. I looked over stratics forums and it wasn't for me. How could anyone argue with the points given in the above quoted posts? In my experience, once something is allowed to perpetuate, it spreads like a virus.

Humans have good and bad characteristics, but it's the bad ones that rise up when in bad company. It's the way we focus on the negative comments but tend to ignore praise.

UO's not all bad, and it's not all good. But it's the only game where I am really free to make whatever kind of character I want, and play however I want. I can hunt monsters, fight players, solo, party, craft, play the game with people FAR beyond my character's "experience" level.
The simple fact that UO continues to remain non-level based makes me happy.

I dunno...I am about to go play some rock n roll, so I read this thread and decided I would comment on human nature. And throw out the fact that this place seems really cool. People can disagree without calling names or getting angry. I like the mature and fun feel to this site.

I know its impossible to do, but it'd be nice if the Stratics login was somehow tied in to the MyUO login or better the Account login. I bet half the people whining about the game would suddenly shut up when it was discovered they hadn't logged in to the game in 6 months, never stepped foot on Fel/Siege, etc. *chuckles*

Or the ones bragging about scripting, UMing etc...

That would be awesome.
