A Cave in Luna
nonGM miner 98.6 wearing +3 mining gloves
Mined this area of Malas, outside first then in another cave and then this cave for about 5 hours I think. Using tinkered (she's at 50 and learning) shovels and picks.

I got today a small piece of Blackrock too, after 8 Hours Mining. The Reward for that was an Agapite Runic Hammer. My Miner has 100% Mining, wears Ringmail Blacksmith Gloves of Mining +5 Skill and is an Elv. He used GM Made Pickaxes. It was in Trammel Minoc Mines.

After that well I just can't stop laughing, 8 hrs, 5 hrs. That is just wrong.

I'm sure I had used more than 10 hours on Siege, I had gained avg 10 of each gem and still no blackrock pieces.
I'm elf, using shovel from bods, mining mostly in a cave on Felucca facet and a few walls (1xgain on Siege)
I'm glad to see someone at last had success, gives me a little hope.
The rewards sounds fine to me.

7 hours of mining yesterday in the large passage caves east of luna, under the mountains with snow. GM with +5 gloves, no blackrock.

So the three of us in this thread who have mined up a small piece of blackrock within the past 24 hours have one thing in common: caves. Malas, Tram, and Fel but we all found it in caves. I have to admit that I had mined for about 4 hours the day before without finding any blackrock so if you added that it'd be closer to 9 or 10 hours for me as well. My miner on Pacific has 0 luck. What shards did you guys find your's on in case there is some per shard limit per day rule?

We are so far 3 rocks-1 elly.

As I read these posts I can't help but feel I would much rather spend my time doing other things than wasting effort trying to get black rock. Yes, you can get some decent stuff if you're lucky, but if you spent the same amount of time doing peerless you would come out better in the end (IMO), plus it would not be as boring.

To add to this...10 hours in Luna caves, and I net 0 blackrocks. Guess I should have spent 11 hours, but after a while you have to say it isn't worth the boring grind and move on to something more fun.

Would take exception to the guy who thought it was just wrong to take 8 hrs or 5 hrs of mining. Anyone want to guess how many hours a person spends collecting bods trying to earn an agapite hammer. I have been playing for over four years, collecting on six different character most of that time (it's a family thing) at least twice a day and for a long time three times a day. To date I am no where near having all the bods to fill for an agapite runic . So is it worth 8 hrs +...... I would say yes it is

Oh, I agree Vepl. Just thinking that the odds have nothing to do with how many hours you spend, but being in the right place at the right time.
