i just got a message from a friend that she over the weekend got a msg from a guildmate who claims to be in the know. that 5 of the develporers including the 3 we most are concerned about already left. that we should not expect the patch with weights fixed soon as the ones left are still trying to figure out what was going on and then go from there but would take at least at least a week or 2 and because of what was already tweeked it will not run 2d either without some fixing. please tell me this msg was a joke as they were teaseing me about my attitude of it will all work out.

Message from a friend from a guildmate who claims to be in the know....which to me, translates to message from a friend from a guildmate from another guildmate from another friend from his guildmaster who he's never met, but claims he might have some clue as to what's going on. I'd say don't trust anything except what you hear from the devs themselves...and even take that with a grain of salt.

Ii agree but getting jittery since no one heard from anyone other that jeremy since this began and all we got was wait till this week. a post from draconi cathat etc with a cat picture or a you just wait till you see the invasion would reassure me.

I agree...though it's got to be hard on them....whoever is leaving..whoever is staying...whether or not they CAN post anything and when...if they even want to.....

After talking with my broker about my stock in EA, he assured me the restructuring is to streamline the MMO developers so they can focus on Warhammer, UO will not be abandon but it will not take any resources away from WH , his source in EA says UO will be supported but not with the gusto is has been receiving.

the impression I got was , they are still getting money from us saps but they are not going to put much more money into UO
good for my EA stock , bad for UO as a whole

Ask your broker this, why was the option to be billed for 6 months changed to three?There is no longer a 6 month option. It is one or three.(cc billing)

Don't stress out too much from the silence - the usual dev posters are still around, they're just really, really busy, either putting their personal affairs in order while trying to do their jobs or documenting and wrapping things up. Wilki and Leurocian were busy last week putting together the Doom drop change mentioned in the FoF, and Draconi is... being Draconi.

She's in Austin, people in general have a hard time identifying with something that is geographically distanced from them.

First of all, I'm not in Austin...that remark was aimed at me.

Second, I wasn't making fun of the California Fires...my Origin Shard News Manager had to evacuate his home and l left me for days worrying about him...he finally sent me a message a few days ago that's he's home and well.

I was laughing because Draconi is known for his disasterious effects...trying to make light of a grim situation....

I think the fact that Leurocian is the only person other than Jeremy to post since the layoffs were announced is very telling. CatHat was a fairly active poster on these boards. Draconi was also posting very actively with the upcoming magincia invasion, although he's not that active in general. However, they've both gone dark.

The dev team lost a lot of good folks last time they moved, now it's just happening again.

All kidding aside......I agree with everyone that it's a bad situation all the way around...but it's NOT the end of the world....(not for another 5 years anyway*winks*)

If Draconi leaves...if CatHat leaves.....if if if.....that's okay too...they brought life and fire and fun cat statues and everything to the game and will always be remembered for the work, blood, sweat, tears and brimstone they gave is these past years.

And IF they are gone...or will be gone....rejoice and wish them well in whatever endevours they decide to tackle next.

"tis why I posted that thing about Ando....he tested and fixed ALOT of bugs for us....especially with ML during it's beta phase....but he moved on...and is doing just fine.

Everyone who leaves...is leaving...will leave....yes they will be missed....but they aren't dead....and neither is UO.....
