A few friends? Try needing hundreds. There are thousands of Ophidians stretching 10+ screens from the moongate. I crashed walking over the server line and could barely log back in. This is way to much.

I think a developer or gamemaster just came by and mass killed them all on both facets.

The key is in Draconi's post. We are NOT supposed to kill them at the Minoc gate, if we want to fight them back we have to clear Skara Brae first, from the Skara Brae moongate working towards south. Unfortunatly, its amazing of stupid most of the people are. The bunch that tried to do so (including me) fought a general that was all of a sudden completly healed. Ahh, healer near! Ok, so i check the next building... healer general, with lots of other stuff, cant do alone... so i ask everyone to either get rid of the healer and his companions or to let go on the general for a few seconds and get him out of the healers reach. Tho everyone was bashing at the general they seemed afk cuz noone listend to me. After i saw the generals health bar being healed 5 times and noone seemed to care about it i left. With such retarded people you cant win a war.

From our experience, it seems they re-spawn. We kill a bunch of them and a bunch more spawn. So it would seem that they will spawn until the invasion progresses or we do something in this scenario to change things. Meaning we find a special item or kill the king or something to that effect.

All in all it is a lot of fun and interesting too.

As best we can tell, even if you defeat the Ophidians at a moongate, reinforcements will quickly arrive from Skara Brae from Felucca or Trammel (whichever has advanced to the final stage for the city).

The best course of action seems to be pushing back the spawn in Skara Brae around the moongate on both sides. If that's clear, the moongate spawn can be defeated readily.

Otherwise, the Ophidians seem to just be reinforcing the line from the rear. So even if you attack a middle portion, the front or back will reinforce it. It *must* be attacked head on at the front line.

Quick note: That crazy spawn at the Minoc gates on Atlantic was not intended. We've resolved it, but please report anything insane like that you run across.

I'm sorry, but that made me laugh. I'm so printing that picture out tomorrow. Now I know what Draconi meant when he said he was tweaking the invasion today.

I noticed a lot of people on LS at Skara yesterday, but they were attacking the spawn from the middle. Someone needs to draw a map and show arrows in the direction the spawn needs to be killed in order... MAPPER!

I think we've gotten the message. Both last evening and this morning we were working the spawn from the moongate south. Not that we got very far, but moving in the right direction. :grin:

Well, next time try the Trammel side, so Maddux doesn't get distracted and start pk'ing everyone else.
