I don't think people are becoming less respectful. I think we have been just as terrible at that since the beginning. Even in the black and white days of movies, there was murdering, disrespect, backstabbing, cuss words and a lot of the same garbage of today. The only difference....mass media. We have so many ways to put stuff out for the world to see, and so many different people able to do so for little investment and the speed at which it hits the world audience is amazing. With the internet and online games, we have just allowed for anyone to come on and do just about as much as they want. Devs and normal people are, or should be, aware of this and can move past the morons posting hateful stuff and get to business. I do agree that it slows down the process, you have to weed through the garbage to get to the actual constructive criticism.

Then how come we manage not to do it on these forums ?
