Lake Superior Shard Reverted

The Lake Superior shard has returned to service, but it was necessary to use a backup from approximately 11PM PDT, which is approximately 21 hours. We never want to see a shard reverted, but unfortunately, in this case it was absolutely necessary. We very much appreciate your patience, and apologize for the inconvenience this interruption may have caused.

I have heard stories about people who transfered into LS during this time that got erased. A family of Eight that play UO together Might all be quiting UO cause one of them that transfered from Europa lost a LOT of stuff transfering to LS, charactor and all items that went with them. Wouldn't you think there woudl be a backup for something like this? Like a copy-paste to new shard before you delete the old one, like a day or two buffer? Make the whatever charge of the charactor transfer hold some value and protect people in moving. *ends rant..... for now*

you are completely right Lady Destiny... if that had happened to me id be quitting as well. With the number of reverts EA has to deal with it seems very stupid of them not to have some safe guards in place for this type of problem...

Nor have I figured out how to be gracefully passionate without appearing arrogant. In the end, I always seem to be arrogant and weak instead of humbly passionate.
