Here on Europa this would be Inu's 3rd year in events, I'm sure its the same for all shards but will let other confirm for themseves. On Europa she appeared around ML was launched and aided Clanin to dispher some importand information. Although after his first visit to Inus house he was reluctant to return and would prefere to send Commander Jurrel. It seems that Inu took quiet a shine to him. She reappered in last years event round too and helped to uncover the plot of Commander Jurrels capture by Travesty. She then went on to aid in the removal of Father Antos. So she has a good record with the Royal Britannian Guards when shes not chasing one or other of them. Although she still likes Clanin she will soon let any guard know if shes taken a shine to them. So here reaperance is very significant and like I said earlier you have not missed very much as these latst events have started very recently. If you missed the last 2 seasons of events and wish to catch up Commander Jurrel has kept very good logs in his Minoc office west of the unfinished statues. But remember his logs are on how things unfolded here on Europa and probley varie from those on Sonoma.

Since my last post a lot has happened. Firstly a new rune was discovered on the header to UO.Com, here is a pic of the runes, dates published and there translations.



Whilst Inu is still in her house in the desert north of Zento, nothing new to report on her. A guard has discovered a strange cave in the swamps south of Destard. If you go to the peninsula there are 3 savage man huts, in the 3rd there is a rug that you can double-click to enter the dungeon. Be warned though that this is a most nasty place, full off terrifying ratmen way stronger than normal and in vast quantities of them too. A team went in to investigate this on Europa and was soon beaten back, so a call was put out for aid the following day. Many came to help and after clearing the first level they set up a healing post at the top of a rope ladder and descended to the second level. Yet another army of ratmen awaited which were dispersed of along with a very nasty Ratmen General Lorgash. The general had a flute that made you dance on the spot, was capable of stunning blows, teleported like despise generals and polymorph human, elf and pets into rats whilst all the time summoning more rats to his aid. It took a force of about 60 on Europa 2 hours to clear this dungeon. (Unlike other shards Europa could not use magic on level 2 which made it that much harder, left over from an old seer event). Long has the shattering of the gem of immortality weighed upon my thoughts. A lifetime I have spent studying the mystic arts and yet it is only lately that I have begun to uncover even the least of the Gem's secrets. Two things have become clear to me. First I have discovered proof that no hand but that of the Stranger, who defeated Mondain, could have shattered the Gem. That those of differing planes can have influence and effect upon our world brings to mind a most disturbing line of thought, best left for another day… Yet I feel I must note it now. There was a once madman who attempted to cast a most terrible spell, one which would bring about the cessation of all life upon our world. That he and his followers failed, thankfully, even though they had the requisite knowledge and resources…** it seems as though the spell itself was designed by those not of our world***

I leave this, then, and will concentrate upon my second realization. Within each shard of the Gem of Immortality lies a perfect likeness of the world as it was at the very moment the Gem was shattered. My liege has confessed many things to me, many disturbing things, about the influence the Gem's power still holds upon these worlds****

It is possible that within each of these shards lie copies of the shattered remains of the Gem of Immortality. I had thought this impossible, that the Gem transcended our reality and was no longer a part of our world. Yet, I gaze upon the shining facets of a shard, looking at the world slowly spinning within, and it seems clear to me. The stone's sinister power was not destroyed when the Stranger shattered the stone, but instead spread throughout the shards themselves.

Thus the question begs: does this recursion go on forever? Are there worlds within worlds, scattered like dandelions on the wind, lying in my trembling hand? And what influence does the Gem yet have upon them?


If anyone wants to read the book in game there is a copy of it at my house, go north out of Luna between the houses till you reach the barrels, follow barrels east and go trough the mountain cave, my house is the Guards Rest Tavern right in front of you. On the top floor is journals of the story so far, a copy of Nystals book and a rune book to all locations.
This dungeon is on all shards and many have defeated him whilst a few have yet to do so. Although on returning the rats have respawned though General Lorgash has gone once defeated.

Only Pacific have not defeted the Rat as yet, all other shards now have the book.

I have not seen anyone post about Lorgash in fel so cant help there.

One other thing of note is that today is the 23rd as we know 23 is a key number in the letter. A report has been made that executioners are outside the east gate of Luna on Origin. Nothing reported on other shards as far as I know, I have checked Europa and cannot see anything in Luna or Britain (remember Inu visited both these citys in the first BNN reports). Lets hear what happening on your shard, any news?

Yeah, the whole executioner things on Origin aren't garnering much of my attention because they don't seem to fit right. They were up before the 23rd also. Maybe a GM hit the wrong button and started up that spawn from the Luna Invasion last year... but it still does need to be noted.
