“Papa?” The little girl’s father looked down at his daughter, who was leaning over the bridge’s wooden rail and staring at the cascades of spring water a few feet away. A landmark of the city of Zento, the springs flowed from an outcropping of worn granite into a small pond under the bridge. A park had been built around it, between the inner and outer city walls, and it was alive with blossoming trees and flowers. Townspeople were passing by the girl and her father on the bridge as they headed towards different parts of the city...

Just finished reading it and I'm impressed. This is probably the best piece of fiction I've read in a long long time for UO... the stuff written for UO2 regarding the meer and juka was good, after that the quality has dropped. But this piece is excellent.

I especially loved the description of WBB and how people acted and looked. It worked perfectly for the story but also had a hilarious element of realism to it!

Congratulations to whomever is responsible for this new fiction.

Ive not really been keeping up on the crone storyline as nothing appears to be happening or am i wrong? i have no idea.
is there now a hive of wisps somewhere?
yep the invasion of minoc and (was it) trinsic? was good and the ancient lich thing was ok and these things i welcome as its a chance to move from gauntlet and peerless etc and find a challenge.
So is crone good to get into?

Thus far it's been more of a challenge for your brain than your reflexes. The plotline has revolved around figuring out riddles and keywords etc, though there was a rather massive battle to be had in a temporary dungeon with a ratman army lead by general Lorgash.

Depends on what you enjoy really, the plot seems pretty complex and unfolds slowly, needs a lot of thinking and solving... I'd guess more combat will be coming along the way too but it's definitely not the main focus here.
