I LOVE the new Ethys!! (Confirmed bug)

Just logged in. Post patch 44, my unicorn and kirin ethys are SOLID!!
I pray this was intentional! As 3D players know, they were semi-solid in 3D, and I was sad to switch over to the practically invisible 2D version, but now they are in FULL COLOR!!

Even if it is a bug to be eventually "fixed", I'm grateful for the little time I may have to run around on SOLID FULL-COLOR ethys! Just like the Charger of the Fallen and the Ethy Polar Bear!

I wonder about the other older ethys: the horse, ostard, beetle, swampy, ridgeback? Are they solid now too?

Ok, now that I've had a better look around, I'm seeing even stranger stuff:
I'm on a full color solid ethy-kirin, but the guy next to me is riding an old-style see-thru kirin, and there are 2 guys sitting side by side on ethy swampys: one is swampy see-thru, the other is ghost-like (soild but without color).

It appears that for ethys (4th year and beyond) there are 3 possibilities: see-thru, solid black and white, and solid full color, and that this is ITEM-SPECIFIC!

So now I'm pretty sure this is indeed a bug, but it makes me think how wonderful it would be if we could TOGGLE the appearance of the ethys: perhaps a single click on the statue to bring up a gump or something.

Id love to see what the rthys look like in the new client but they certainly shouldnt look like the real thing. They have to have some type of "ethereal" look to them...

I love my ethy and want it to stay ethereal as its been a part of my characters history for more than 2 years now.

But I do understand some folk dont like them

Riding mounts is like using the elevator instead of stairs just to get up to the next floor. You all lazy!

I totally agree I hate them. If they were to make them full colour that would be great, but who here owns a see through horse?
