I'm thinking a lot of things are going to get a lot of life back when SA comes out. At least I'm hoping it does. Just as UO:AOS turned things upside down, I'm hoping UO:SA repairs a lot of it.

Hi - i'm just a little confused. SA is coming out later this year to be followed by KR? Is this two expansions in a relatively short amount of time?

You have it backwards Kingdom Reborn (KR) comes out first and its just a new client that does not add anything to the game but updates the artwork and how we will interface with the game. Then the new expansion for UO, Stygian Abyss (SA) comes out after that in the summer. SA will add gargoyles as a new race we can play, and give us the largest dungeon ever in UO history.

You could throw some adventurer's at the bottom and come back a month later and they'd have given up trying to get out and started their own colony.

no fun...but has a valid point or three...

things left half done can be nearly as annoying as things that are broke...like say runic tools...

while i too have and will continue to give EA mah moneys to play UO, it gets harder to justify when things do not work as intended and cause frustration to be added to my "free time activities".

i look forward to the new dungeons and the superhappy KR facelift...its the "afterthat" that will decide if i stay with UO...and thats just because im a sucker for it and my computer is "low end" now or i would not have lasted this long.

For an expansion thats out very soon i would like EA to provide more information about UO:KR and not rumours.

Guess we will see soon enough though

Everyone keeps referancing KR as an expansion pack which it is not. Its a client upgrade - SA is the expansion :cheesy:

The only info we will get other than what they have already told us is what we will see when/if we dowload the new client.

Thats my reckoning anyways.

From what I hear,there are still a lot of 'bugs' to be smoothed out before the release and we havent got to the Public Beta stage yet either.

I guess thats when we will really know what its all about.

It has been said ad nauseum, Kingdom Reborn is a free client upgrade. It's not an expansion and adds no "content" to the game. SA is the expansion which is due LATE summer 07. Since summer officially ends at the end of Sept. I think you'll see this released as part of the 10th anniversary celebration.
The team has said, again numerous times, you'll see little info on SA until after KR is released. Why would they by pass on the build up for KR to talk about an expansion that comes months after? The KR client is in my minds eye, far more important than info on another dungeon or race. This is how we're going to interface with the game and all resources should be committed to make it the best they/we can.

I think the reason that some people are mixing up KR and SA, is that KR will be adding these "bright paths" to the new player experience, so there is some new content being added.

Also I fail to see why EAMythic is being so secretive about KR, it is a graphical upgrade. Is it gonna set new industry standards? Is it going to revolutionize the mmorpg genre? Will it make the grpahics mind blowing hotter than anything out now? NO, then why all the secrets.
Seriously we are upgrading to what? year 2000 graphics?

Being secretive about SA, ok I get that, cause once the release the plans for the garg race, the boards are gonna go crazy, and there might actually be a few new kinks in there for us to find.
