How come pumpkins named after UO employs ?

Would'nt it have been great if the pumpkins were named after actual in game players ? That woulda been really fun finding somebody pumpkin named after them and then finding somebody to trade for your own personally named pumpkin..This woulda of created tons of in game interaction and woulda been alot of fun...Nothing against the uo employs but I can careless which pumpkin I got named after them...I say they do the same thing at easter time with eggs named after uo players...Easter egg hunts woot !!!

It would be cool if they linked the most commenly spawned pumpkins to the data base that has all the character names for that server. They could still name the rare ones after devs if they want, but i think it would be more in joyable for me to find pumpkins of other players that I know and consider to be friends.

Having a fixed and limited set of names makes them more valuable to collectors, as they then want to get all the names. It was also a nice way to honor the team that brings us our wonderful virtual world.

Well I did not mind it. I collected the few names of gms and dev. that have done some good stuffs.

And then when an EA dev. or gm name showed up that was on a jack o lantern and if that one had maybe done something that we did not like...we could just clk. and set it afire with their name on it ! Torchingly..theraputic ! HAHA

Haha - yeah - collecting and or destroying UO pumpkins is great halloween fun.

I think it was also a nice way to internally give credit and name to some of the UO folk, especially some we rarely hear from, but who work hard.

Or spawn both player names and people on the UO team... personally I did not have any problems with the names of the UO Team on them at all. I just enjoyed collecting them!

Heh - i actually have a Wilki and Draconni Jack-O-Lantern on my housing's steps - i suppose when the holiday sets are activated - I'll put my my Dev Reindeer up in place of them.

Of course there's much less room in my housing after i got my hands on that 9th age legacy stuff - so many tress and things to pick from.

Good to see you here Cat Hat! Nice to see the Dev's surfing different UO fan sites. There is more to the UO fan base than Stratics.
I know you and others Dev's have been here. Just felt like typing it out.
