![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey jeremy ... source taken from UO.UHall Comment Whos in charge of the uo.com site the its set up ? is there anyway to organize the fiction on that site it took me about 45 mins to dig up an old story becasue I was replying to someones post . ############################ Jeremy_EAMythic UO Community Coordinator Theoretically, it's me. What were you looking for specifically? ############################ Speaking as somebody who has gone through the fiction on UO.com many times before... what would be great is an archive filterable by date and shard, and have the lists sortable by date, title, and author, and a way to search by title, author, and contents (three seperate search boxes, need to fill in at least one to searh, could fill in all three to really narrow the search). The current search works ok... but I find that it isn't very reliable, and often-times I'm more knowledgeable about the approximate date an event occurred than I am about other details. I'd rather be able to just scroll through the archives than need to search them in those situations. ############################ If you wanted to get really "fancy"-like, you could add several advanced search mechanisms to restrict by character mention (LB, Blackthorn, Juo'nar, etc), town/region mention, event/release and also text. Many people don't know the actual spellings of many of the characters used and thus spend lots of time trying to 'figure out how' to get the articles they KNOW are there. In my case I keep forgetting the name of the Lich twins and have to look them up each time, bumble-headed bard that I am. AND if you REALLY wanted to get fancy, add a 'show me more like this' right-click search to the articles and return articles that match better the flow of what your interest is. Like reading about the lich twins in a shard article and extending the search so you can read their biography. That's just with the current articles, of course.... Now, historical articles from players? hmm... ############################ Is there any way we can direct inaccuracies in the UO website to someone? Would be nice to see it giving out proper information ########################## ![]() ![]() |
