Since most of you don't know me I would like to post a short introduction letter. Greetings Everyone, I can’t believe I have been working on UO for almost 6 years now and I am just now getting around to officially introducing myself. I started playing UO in ‘97, wow those were really good times! I have so many great memories and experiences with UO. Do you guys remember the first time you logged into the game and your first impression of everything, or the first time you were PK’d? (That guy’s name is still written on my old monitor =P). I never knew how sweet revenge was until I ran into that guy in a dark corner of Shame. *evil laugh* Back to the reason I am writing this. I started working on UO when it was in TX in the QA department as the Senior Lead External Tester. This was way before we had “set skills” on Test Centers. Back then there were Counselors. My character name is Mesanna. I have spoken to a lot of players over the years, and to the ones I haven’t I would like you to know I am always open to communication. I currently hold the position of Associate Development Manager. I am sure you are asking, “What does that mean?”. =P My duties are too numerous to say, but the one thing I am sure you guys would like to know is I bring to light the issues being reported and make sure we can fit the most important ones into the schedule. I also try to make sure we not only fix the new bugs but try to get in a few of the old ones also. I am a big gamer, and yes I still play UO when I have time. With all the changes and moves I want to ensure everyone we have a great group of people working on UO. Everyone is very passionate about the game and wants it to be the best it can be. *Snickers* That sounded like a recruiter’s statement. It’s funny to have a group of people start talking about UO and next time you see them they are all sitting on the floor in a circle having a creative session trying to decide if the world should blow up or if we should just plant flowers. =P (Cal’s note: Since Adida has bunnies, no more flowers ever!!) I won’t sit here and promise you guys anything, but be patient and we will be able to show you all the little ideas dancing in our heads.  Take care everyone and remember we as a collective group read everything you guys write – yes, the good and the bad. We just don’t have the hours in the day to respond to all the emails we get. Some players like myself have been playing the Ultima games since we were kids. I started back in 83 with Ultima 3 on the Com64.. To this day I still play. And I am happy to say I have since found and gotten all the older Ultima games to run under winxp just fine. I even found a port for the very first game. Akalabeth. And even a port for the not very realeased Escape from Mt. Drash to work on my laptop. I am really hoping that in the future UOKR will run much smother on many systems. Desktop and laptop alike. Right now when I run it on my laptop. (Toshiba M3 2.0ghz, 2gb mem, 128mb NVidia Running at 1400x1050) It runs very sweet. I am still dealing with the system kicking the fan into over-drive when the game is running. BUt I have been able to work around this. On a side-note. During your road-trip this year. Any chance of coming back to Seattle at all. I have checked the road-trip map. And Seattle is not listed..  Anyways welcome to UoForums.. Hope to see and hear more from you.. I'm happy to meet you and pleased by the course of actions of late from the EAMythic team. There's new content, fixes, future focus, and finally communication on more than one front. More needs to be done of course on gaining new players, with website and download enhancements, and keep on smashing those old bugs and exploits.
