Gingerbread houses - do not redeed!

We have found an uncommon bug with the Gingerbread house that causes it to break/disappear when it is redeeded. It is unlikely we'll get a fix out before the holidays, so please avoid redeeding your Gingerbread house at this time.

I tried out one of the mini gingerbread houses to see it, and then used the axe to re-deed it...no problem...
Later on I put another one to show my wife...logged out..cambe back and used the axe on it to get it out of the way and it 'hacked' at it!!! it broke in three parts!! (ala stone furniture in the past where you hacked it as in destroying it)...it did not re-deed!! so I lost one gingerbread house....
Also, arent the gingerbread men suppose to say something when you eat them? or is that only the ones that a player (chef) makes?

And yet another interface inconsistency, since there are things that you double-click to redeed.

I've no idea why the team still uses axes as opposed to double-clicks, except in cases like the new containers.

But even then, wouldn't a context menu make more sense?

I dunno... so many inconsistencies in this interface, I hope SOMEONE lays down the law and produces a design bible over there.

This whole concept of an ax being used to redeed items has got to go. This bug keeps coming up with anything multi-tiled.

Looks like this is an old issue, and more complex than we'd hoped. (Apparently it can happen with the Church at Night, too). We haven't managed to consistently reproduce the issue. Until we get a solid fix, please avoid redeeding - it's not guaranteed to break, but it might.

Yeah, apparently the house took that a little bit too literally.... sigh.

Just let them go, more stuff in game needs to decay/break/die/etc.

as much as I hate taking the decorations down it's time to re-do one of the houses, so I was wondering.... does anyone know if the gingerbread houses will re-deed yet? did they get fixed? thanks

They won't redeed yet, but we have a fix for them going to QA this week.

For those who may not have tried yet.....the gingerbread house also disappears when you try to customize your house so be warned of that too. Only reason I tried i was cause i have plenty of the buggars so one gone isn't a big deal to me, but was still not a nice thing to happen. And yes I did check the moving crate.
