It occured to me just this morning after reading another poster's comment about getting to use their gargoyle slayer...

Once the gargoyle race comes out... umm, well... does this mean any character playing a gargoyle and in Fel is toast? lol

Anyone have any ideas on how this will work? Seems a bit unfair that the new race has a whole fleet of weapons that are slayers just for their race. Humans have repond slayer I suppose (but do those work in Fel? I don't PvP often so I don't really know) and I've yet to see an elven slayer (which I'm sure many would love to see since they hate elves so much lol)

I'd just like any information on this at all. Especially before creating a gargoyle. Will I have to watch my lil gargoyle back every time I step foot out of my house?

Player characters are not considered "human" for the purposes of Repond slayers. I have not heard specifically about whether or not gargoyle players will be "gargoyle" to slayer weapons, but we certainly don't have to make it so unless it makes sense to.

people in the forms available are vulnerable to slayers, though its apparantly a little known fact and it doesn't do as much extra as it would against a monster.

Well, repond slayers are effective against humanoids, ie ogres, orcs, trolls etc - they've never been effective against actual humans, players or otherwise.

The new player race though will presumably be actual gargoyles.. so it would seem a bit odd if gargoyle slayers didn't work against player gargoyles.

The PvP repurcussions of course would be huge though, so although it makes sense, it really shouldn't happen.
