Fonts - What do you think?

I miss the old font - which was not only perfectly readable, but enhanced the atmosphere of the game nicely as well.

I loathe-loathe-loathe these new modern fonts we've had the last years, and the newest thick version is worse of all. It just completely dominates the overall view, especially when many people are talking. *grumbles then sighs*

Does anyone know why they got rid of the olde font in the first place? Sorry for the dumb question but I'm not all that up to date on all these changes.

They didn't get rid of it. You can choose that font in options. Simply go to the Miscellaneous Tab in options, scroll down, and you will see a selection of fonts to choose from.

Yes I think you can choose it as an option as Deraj suggests. But the reason they made these the default font was because they apparently had a lot of new players quit over it according to their feedback or just didn't like the fonts and found them harder to read.

I am still using the 'old' font on most of my characters. I tried the others and liked some of them.. not that thick one, though... but as was said above, they didn't seem 'right' in the game. So I went back to the old one. I also like the red text in the journal, but when on the screen, as in your name or conversation, it can be daunting.

I still have issues with the text colors and especially that journal. The journal color needs to be either lots lighter, or lots darker so more of the colors will be readable. Also... we could REALLY use a lighter 'inside' view on our backpacks and pouches. Things can really disappear in there even if you are organized about the way you keep them.
