She's grown quite fond of her lair, and no one has been able to persuade her to leave. Besides, she's taken an interest in the lives of the crunchy little beings who sometimes visit her - you may see her get involved in future adventures.

"The Helm from the Virtue Armor set is showing negative resists - what do I do?"
There was an issue with the set bonus where it was getting removed incorrectly - and excessively - if the set was broken. We patched out a fix, but the only way for the fix to be applied to the armor is if it is either locked down in your house or in your bank box during a server reset. So take your helmet off next time you log out for the evening and stick it in your bank box - that should fix it.

"Does being in party affect the 10th Anniversary Event artifact drop rate?"
Actually being in a party does not affect the drops or the points given out out all. However, if multiple people are fighting the same creature - whether or not they're in a party - that does affect the rate of points given out.

To get points, everyone must make the top attackers list. (The top attackers list is simply the top 16 damagers.) So you can't party up then let someone else do all the work, and still get credit.

Next, points are scaled based on where you are on the top attackers list. The overall highest damager will get the same amount of points he would when soloing - everyone else will get increasingly smaller amounts, down to about 1/7 of the usual if there are more than 12 attackers on the list.

So while fighting with two or three people could be much more efficient in terms of kills per hour, and therefore total points, having a full group may be less efficient for the people who tend to do less damage. On the other hand, if you want to take your crafter out to do some hunting, pair him up with a fighter and make sure he smacks each critter at least once, and he will get some credit for the kill.

"What is the actual duration of Cursed Weapon?"
The duration is your Spirit Speak skill (real skill, not counting jewelry) divided by 34, plus one. (actually, that's skill x 100 - so legendary is 1200 rather than 120. Makes the math cleaner ) That works out to 30 seconds at GM, or about 36 seconds at Legendary.

Kingdom Reborn Focus Group Status Update
We had a tremendous response to the call for applications earlier this week - far more than we are able to accomodate. If you haven't gotten an invite yet, odds are there were just too many in line ahead of you. I expect that we may be increasing our numbers gradually as we get more and more designs and plans up for feedback, though, so we will likely be adding some more people out of that pool in the coming weeks.

If you didn't get in, don't despair! We'll be posting public information too, as we run things by the focus group and as QA signs off on things. There will be plenty to talk about!

I've got a set of docs to put up in the next week or so. What does everyone think of the clicking vs. scrolling situation? I can break stuff up so it doesn't require scrolling, but will have multiple pages, or I can stick everything on one page, but it will be loooong. Any opinions?

That is much better. It seems even shorter now that it is all together. If it's a really long guide, then breaking it up into multiple pages/sections makes sense. Websites that break content up to one paragraph per page typically are just trying to inflate their page views for advertisers. UO.com doesn't need to do that.

Also, if you want to make the guide really stand out, get some type of image of the Dark Knight in there. It is quite bland with all the text. A simple screenshot will do.

I like that a lot more. It seems more fluid and usable to me. Chopping up smaller bits of information just makes it seem like you're trying to make it look like more (believe me, ... I am the master at padding things to make them look like more ). I realize you weren't trying to do that, but it's silly hehe

*edit* yes! I second what JC said! picture! Possibly to the right of the "contents" so there isn't empty space? I'm not sure how you're setting it up but I'm picturing two separate cells/DIVs, the contents on the left, the picture on the right... center the "Contents:" text over the div on the left.
