At one point there was some talk about there being face change tokens for 'legacy' characters for KR as a part of the 10th Anniversary celebrations... do we have any new info or updates on this happening??

We will see these come the anniversary date.

Over in Japan they are part of a box set. We won't have to pay for them.

Is that official Pallas? I know there was some mention of them before but I don't think anyone has actually said we will definitely get them....or have I missed something? *hopeful*

Nothing 'official' but it was mentioned as probably happening on the 10th annuversary a while back.

Seeing as the Japanese will be getting it and it was mentioned before that is one of the 'secrets' for the 10th anni.

So, yeah. We will be getting a face change token, prob 1 per character. Anything beyond that I don't know.

How long before someone complains that it's a 10th anniversary gift "designed to push the players into KR" or "aimed at the minority of people who can actually run the [insert disparaging comments] KR client"?

But, people complain about everything, so it's a safe prediction that they'll complain about that.

Well I wouldn't have posted it here but seeing as you want someone to then OK...

What's the use of a face change token that 99% of players won't see the effect of? I'll hang onto it for if KR ever becomes playable I suppose but as that won't be for some time it kind of takes away the association with the 10th anniversary.

But, gift horse and all that...

see your assuming there arnt going to be new players coming to UO (which there are already, go check out new haven! even on Oceania you can find some new players there sometimes).

if enough new players join UO, then KR will start to gain a larger number of uses. KR isn't played by a lot of the current UO subscriber base simply because they either dont like it (which is fair enough, everyone is different) or because they like 2D more (which is also fair enough), the excuse that KR isn't playable is a load of BS, it runs fine on my comp that is UNDER the min spec. so this just doesnt wash with me. I got no problem with people who just simply dont like it though, its ur choice.

besides what do the 10th annie items have to do with KR? they are usable by both clients... and a face change well if you want to play KR then guess you can use it, i know i will be even though I play 2D more often still. besides its 'free' (not sold in box like it is in japan) so why complain?
