would it help to describe what I did?
1. place shadow banner, south or east doesn't matter. 2. place curtain on the same square, same direction. 3. shadow banner is always behind the curtain, open or closed. If you put it near the sides, the word "maudlin" will be almost totally obscured. and so will the shadow banner. 4. place fireplace 5. place shadow banner, select the spot where the fireplace is. it will put the banner behind the fireplace and inaccessible without chopping the fireplace. I talked to the designers about this a bit and it sounds like if we were to change it, the result might make the item impassable. A gamemaster had to remove it before they could proceed. This was supposed to be fixed in Publish 42: Quote:
My guess is that the old Prismatic Amber was not deleted after this change went in. So if a shard still had one that was blocking the grid, it will still be there until either a player did the quest or a GM fixed it one final time. Most likely your friend was in Fel where fewer people do the quest.

I was rearranging my test house to recustomise and said items just now had to be removed in order to customise, by removed one thinks redeed em till ya done customising and then you put them back out on display again. So, I did the dbl clk on them like banner deeds etc. but nothing happened, so I figured those addons then must be axe em up type of items to get them redeeded instead of dbl clk type items to remove them. End result: Huge crystal altar hacked into 4 pieces, no deed came into my backpack for it. GONE distroyed item. The curtains ...ended up hacked into 4 pieces, no deed came into my backpack for it. GONE distroyed the item. Sword display...ended up axed into halves, no deed returned for that item. GONE, destroyed item. Axe display...same axed into halves no deed returned for that item. Gone destroyed item. I tried to dbl clk these items to redeed them, didnt work. Tried the axe it like we do for stone tables {which net us a deed of a whole table on paper deed}, but these items listed above just AXED up, destroyed em instead, no deed came for said items..gone. While it does not matter on test just run to a bank see a ton on the ground, it might matter after 9th goes active and folks paid for these lil pixel items find theirs is GONE, perma like, when they try to move said items in their homes and they find instead it all axed up to bits instead of redeeded. Anyone else finding 9th deco and 9th anniv. items just hackin to bits, instead of redeeding when ya try to move em ?? hrmm ################ did you place those items when you first started on tc? I noticed curtains I placed before a few updates to tc did not re-deed when I axed em. ################ Ando UO Live Assistant Producer That's correct, this issue was fixed a while back, but any existing items that were placed on Test Center before the fix went in may still have this problem.

My herald, placed and standing at my home to greet players, isn't greeting my characters on my 2nd account.
# This is a result of the "anti-spamming" change we made to Heralds in Pub43 layers will now only receive one Herald message total per minute, with exception of the owner who will always see the Herald's bark ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ando so I and others understand this properly... Does this mean that if I have a herald at my house to greet players as the visit they have to stand there for 60 seconds before the herald will greet them? The herald does not say "Welcome so and so" as soon as the visitor approaches? I understand the lack of desire for spam if the herald is following you around crowded areas, but can my herald at least announce a welcome when a visitor enters my house upon entry? No, they will see the message the first time. But after that, it will take 60 seconds before they see that Herald bark again. And actually if the Herald is house greet mode, I don't believe this rule will apply. Today's update [25/10/06] to Test Center included the following changes: * Fixed an issue that was preventing co-owners from being able to chop up some of the Heritage items * Taslimans selected from the 9th Anniversary token no longer have a chance of having "Owned by" on them * Pet protection now works correctly with summoned bonded pets * Legacy Taskmasters now have the correct damage * Modified ladders to work differently inside of castles and keeps (this change may require a new client patch and is not yet complete) (Also, you may want to search the fields for a special surprise) Are the tokens for the new crystal and shadow furnitures going to be the same as what we would receive at test centre? Yes, the tokens will be the same as what you see on Test Center from when you type "give tokens" (except you'll also get a Personal Attendant token). If so, then we would only be getting say one token for a crystal brazier. If I need say six, does that mean I have to buy that many 9th anni boxes or from other players? The Crystal Token only comes with one of each of the crystal furniture pieces. So if you wanted additional Crystal Braziers, then yes you would need to either trade another player for them or buy more than one box as you have stated.

Umm... problem with the 'table with blue cloth' -- not sure if the other tables do this, but they probably do.
I place it and it is ABOVE anything placed before it or after it. By this I mean: place table. take box, put 'on' table, it will go UNDER the table. same for practically everything else I tried, except the pumpkins. It effectively looks like the table is about 5 or 10 latches above the ground when placed. I can't raise it or lower it, so I can't adjust the height of it to compensate. Strange, I'll ask a Developer to look at that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quote:

The following Pub43 fixes were included in today's client update:
* Added Crystal and Shadow stairs * Modified Shadow arches so that they can now be passed through * Crystal/Shadow housing tiles now display their name when single-clicked on * Added reverse tiles for several of the Shadow furniture pieces so they can now be turned * The Crystal Brazier now gives off light and animates properly * Made modifications to the amount of light other pieces of furniture give off, such as the Shadow Fire Pit * Fixed Heritage trees that were having an issue with their foliage coming off * The Heritage wall torch can now be raised and lowered with the house deco tool * Ladders will no longer display an unused tile above them The following Pub43 fixes were included in today's update to Test Center: * New Live Event content * Black pumpkins now have a chance of spawning with any Dev name * Fixed the spelling of Mesanna's pumpkin name * The 9th Anniversary Shadow Fire Pit can now be opened and closed * The Globe of Sosaria now animates * The Shadow Altar can now be turned correctly * Updated the Shadow Altar's selection menu description

OMG I have never EVER seen a better idea in my entire UO life. Wow, someone is actually thinking outside the mage box for a change...
Comment Evasion needs to be based on a requirement of 100 weapon skill, and 100 dexterity. Warriors can't hit 100% of the time. Mages can hit warriors 100% of the time with spells, evasion evened out the playing field. Your current plan just make it look like Mages Online all over again. Remove the 100% hit of offensive spells of mages against targets. 120 Magery = 75% chance of hitting a target 115 Magery = 70% 110 Magery = 65% 105 Magery = 60% 100 Magery = 50%

I like that, but also on top of it, to help the mages out before they scream about being nerfed, they could change the whole interrupting of a spell from flat out fizzling to less effective spells (kinda like bandies when slippage).

there we go, this way the "gimme gimme" mages of the game can continue on their 9 year path of dominance, and it helps even the field a bit. Good idea dip, you should submit this somewhere. So, kill 100% spell hit chance, and do away with interruption for a lesser damage rate.

Eh, they'll do what they feel is necessary in the end. Then you and I will do what's necessary and adjust.
There's no telling what will, won't, or can't go in for whatever reason deamed necesarry/unnecesary, but there is 1 thing I am 100% sure of, someone will be angry.

Arcane Bug in Pub 43
FYI - If you have a char that has arcane clothing on (say just incase you die and dont have 100% lrc), You seem to use up the arcane clothing charges before you will use up your reagents. My tamer in doom spent up all thier charges even though I had 100+ of each reagent.
