Seriously, if your getting revealed too often, your doing something wrong.
I dont have a problem with mobs (so long as Im not in any ML Dungeon) but players? I literally cant walk by them. There is very little chance that I wont be revealed...

And the point of this statement is what??? Europa has the almighty detect all glasses??? We play stealthiers on very highly competitive pvp shards, where nothing is scripted out or protected by a very badly nerf'd set of rules. If we get detected, there is no where to run, and nothing we are carrying is protected by the yellow bag rule.

If your getting detected way too much, your obiously doing something wrong. Re-evaluate the type of armor your wearing and your approach to your intended mark. The number of birds, and other small creatures.

That's exactly what I ment. They all wear detect glasses.

Then I suppose you could tell me some usefull tips then? As it doesn't seem to matter what I do, walking in a building with someone on the second floor I get detected.

Re: Devs: Feeback from TC on stealth changes.

I stealth around the Barracoon Idol in Fel while the gold is still dropping with anywhere between 4-8 people grabbing away at the gold. I've been revelead 2 times out of 10 so far (20% is rather low for it being a tight area and little to no cover) and once I stole a PS thus revealing myself so I won't count that.

As stated before, check the armor your wearing.

Couple helpful bits:

Always stay next to something(wall, rock, etc), not someone.
Pay attention to how many tiles you've stepped since your last stealth/hide check.
IF your getting close to another check, step away from anyone nearby.
Do not move near anyone unless you plan to attack, and refer back to your step count.

Thanks dude. I barely get revealed when standing still. But it's when I move about near them, so walking with a wall against me and checking the stealth steps will help with that. What armour should one not use? Except for the ovious metals

Re: Devs: Feeback from TC on stealth changes.

Yup, that's something not mentioned in most places, using stealth actually takes a little skill (not just wandering around expecting to be hidden forever even if you are walking in circles around someone).

Studded leather also is a hamper, basically any non-med armor (mage armor property does not count AFAIK).

And yes, I will add again, pay attention to your hide/stealth checks and your distance to anyone when you are going to be checked.

So 80 in stealth isn't enough? (as what I heard is that 80 is when you never fail when stealthing.)

Re: Devs: Feeback from TC on stealth changes.

80 will never fail a check with NOTHING AROUND and all leather armor on or nekkid.

1 Piece of metal armor will give you a significant chance to fail at 80 stealth.

Re: Devs: Feeback from TC on stealth changes.

Oh okay. Because my nightmares in the undead are stealthers and all leather wearing (except for the bone skull). And I don't know what template I should have. I want to fit ninjitsu and poisoning in but it's hard to decrease on things.

So far I got

90 Anatomy (Lock on 90)
110 Fencing (Lock on 110)
85.9 Focus (Lock on 55)
85 Healing (Lock on 90)
95 Hiding (Lock on 90)
101.2 Ninjitsu (Lock on 110)
29.5 Poisoning (Lock on 80 (we need atleast 70 to be able to use poison on our weapons))
85 Stealth (Lock on 80)

Total when finished: 705

Stats are like this:

80 Str
110 Dex
45 Int
----
235 (Max allowed 235)

What do you reckon?

Re: Devs: Feeback from TC on stealth changes.

Take all points needed (i.e. I'd suggest gm'ing stealth at a minimum) from Focus, if any left over, use Focus in increments of 20.

Why have focus on 20 though? I mean from ML all humans have 20 in everything right?
