there are several places in wind that it will go completely dark and then return to light when you get past them and there are times what it happens no matter where the elf is (with no nightsight items)... the problem appeared with ML and I believe the elven nightsight isnt suppose to be as bright as the spell or pots...

no matter its a glitch that has existed since ML was released and its annoying

I've had that happen from time to time also. It seems that one of my pieces of armor also has night sight on it and I have to take it off and put it back on again to "fix" this situation. It's really annoying.

I had this happen Friday night. I was helping my hubby deco his house and I was on with my human mule. I then brought on my elven scribe/mage and didn't think anything of it til it went daylight. And I was like wth. A bit later it went dark on me again. And she has nothing night sight on her either.

I've had this happen to me a few times over the last week or so. Each time it was in Twisted Weald taming cu's, and each time i had to go thru the gate of the dungeon and then back in for it to "reset". I'm an elf and like Flut Flut i dont wear any night sight.

Hey drac, please explain that things will be different with UOKR, and you're not going to waste resources fixing this, and that she needs to get used to it because you'll have dark nights working so that we can see a little, and that night sight will no longer give the illusion of total day light, that it will be more like twilight..

I second that.

Personally, here's how I believe sight should work in UO:KR (hint hint, Draconi ). There should be multiple intensities of both light and dark, ranging from total darkness to blinding light. Night should be totally dark (like the existing dark-nights option), while daylight should be somewhere toward the light-end of the scale, leaving some room for increased brightness. As day turns to night or night turns to day, the server should progress through each level of light/dark over a set time period to simulate dawn or dusk.

Now for nightsight. Wearing nightsight items (or being an Elf with permanent nightsight) should bump the current level of light up about 2 or 3 levels. So at night, it would still be visibly dark, but it'd be light enough for you to see - basically like night is now (without dark nights turned on), although perhaps a shade lighter. During daytime, the days would appear brighter than normal.

I also feel that there should be incentive to use torches and lanterns again, especially in dungeons. So while nightsight may offer constant night-time visibility, lanterns and torches should throw out more intense light, making the immediate area brighter and more-visible than nightsight would. However, there should be a penalty for using both nightsight and a torch or lantern together - perhaps when wearing nightsight, the light from the lantern/torch would be so blindingly bright that you wouldn't be able to see anything in the immediate area...? Anyway, I miss the days of using torches to guide the way at night - but these days, there is no need - especially being an Elf. It'd be nice to see torches and lanterns used more commonly once more

I designed a house a few days ago to see all the (th anniversary stuff..new tiles trees fountains etc..went back daily to do different things until TODAY.. I log in and what do I see???
All my beautiful trees are just trunks looking dead and all the tops to those trees are now INSIDE my house..crammed in there and pushing up to the second floor..House is a total mess..If this goes live on shards and happens..OMG.. I can hear it now..lol..I think it should be addressed asap.I paged a GM there but never got an answer..heres a screen shot ..Look

Wow that's really bizarre. I hope they get that fixed soon. How many days was it since you placed those trees there?

hmm I placed the trees 3 days ago before we got that patch yesterday ..I THINK thats what caused it to go crazy like that because I was there yesterday before the patch and it was normal..I mean trees were trees etc.
