So... I was just playing around on Origin a little, and I wonder - where can I possibly find some books of truth?

Each NPC has a different reward.

The one that wants 50 books gives the gorget of Honesty,
25- the redeemer (some sword I think)
10- a new music box gear?
1- some treasure box

Now the only trick is where you get the books....

I've just killed about 70 ettins on Pac in Fel Despise. Didn't get even one book. I thought Fel supposedly had a higher drop rate???



There is a higher drop rate in Felucca. The drop rate is also influenced by the fame level of the creature. Ettins are relatively low in the fame department, so very few of them will spawn books on death.

The drop rate is probably based on the fame of the creature. So if you fight 100 lizard men you will have a much lower chance to get one then fighting 10 balrons

Yes, they can be stolen or looted, even if toggled as a quest item.

Does it cap how many book drops you can get in a given period of time? I seem to get them in spurts. One time I got 5 in about 10 minutes and then didn't get one for about 30
