Do the regs stay in the cat statue when you die?

While it would take 8 statues to have all 8 kinds of mage regs it seems like a small hassle to deal with so that you dont lose your regs and get the damage bonus from using regs and not a lrc suit.

Anyone use this method?

I never really thought about it though. You can't get the regs out or anything when the statue is in your backpack so I never thought to see if it used them from it or if they stayed in upon death. Interesting

It was suggested in the intial phase of the PvP focus group.

But it was not added in, so there is no bonus to spell damage for using regs.

Could anyone actually be so concerned about losing regs at death to go to this sort of trouble??

On regular shards, can you insure arcane clothing? If so I would think that would be a whole lot easier to get a "blessed" casting source and use any armor.

1. Aren't the cat statues deeded items? It's been a while since I've actually messed with mine, so maybe I'm just remembering wrong.
2. You'd need to have 1 statue for every 17 or so regs you wanted to carry, not just one statue for every kind of reg.

Bah, I have doubts it can be practical.

I mean, a random number of reagents spawn per day, like about 15.

In order to have a number of reagents sufficient for a day of fighting something like 100-150 each would be needed (at least the way I cast).

Meaning that about 1,000 reagents would be needed, roughly.
At 15 regs a day it would take like 60+ days of spawn for just 1 day of hunting. Not practical even when one can use more than 1 statue.
Having 10 statues would still take 6 days of spawn for 1 of casting.

On top of that, reagents can't be added to the statue so, if a statue has too many and they weight too much, taking some out would make it so that they can't be added later if the statue runs out.

It is nice to have it in the house and forget about it for a few months to then find a nice stock of free reagents but other than that, I don't see its use as a carry on as practical at all.

The statues are not deeded, nor are any of the other spring decor items. That's why I was able to have someone dye one of mine with the statuette dye tub before I could do it myself. They look pretty good in gold.
