| 8th Age Item Info from MrTact Player: With all due respect, the two armor pieces and shield say they are part of an 8 piece set but there are only 3 items listed--they also have silly low resists. MrTact: The intent with this item set was NOT to introduce yet another l33t arti armor suit that everyone needed to compete. The full set gets +1% to each resist for each piece of armor, or 60% across the board. Arguably, since this is all you can wear (except for a point or two from using a shield), this is a little low, particularly since the suit doesn't grant any additional magical properties. However, I think there's some merit in the cool, unique art for the suit (and it's my intent to make it hellaciously hard to get all the pieces), so that's an achievement in and of itself. Finally, if the suit proves to be too low to be useful, we can always tweak it a little. Player: The necro spellbook has FC 1 but necro spells aren't effected by FC MrTact: Oh no! How could we have overlooked that? Oh wait, we didn't :-) Player: and in any event I've never seen a necro wrestler so who would use the book? MrTact: Is it possible necro wrestlers don't exist because you can't equip necro books with properties? Player: Oh and the ninja Cu Sidhe form--I hope the devs meant "if the user has healing skill" otherwise it's tremendously unbalancing to give a healing ability-- and very few ninja have healing. MrTact: Uh, no. That would be dumb, now wouldn't it? Give a healing ability that doesn't heal?
In fact, the heal rate is vastly slower than most healers (8 seconds), the amount of healing you get is less than what you get for equivalent healing skill (and there is no Anat bonus), you have to give up your talisman slot for the ability, and while in the form you have no choice whether your heals go off or not, so even if you're down by a point or two, you're going to burn bandages until you're full up. |
