Typing College papers?

Sorry I haven’t written a paper for school in years. When you type your paper up and its suppose to be double spaced does that mean word (space space) word instead of my normal word (space)word or is it something else? Thanks!

I am not sure actually, I know ALOT of places perfear something like this:
-------------------------- <--- without those lines
Random sentence goes here

Another line to that same sentence

---------------- <-- and without these ones too
They just find it easier to read when it is double spaced downward but I do not think they mind the spacing between the characters in the word, but I am not very sure. I also think they want size 14 and Times New Roman? Now I am just remembering High School stuff so not sure about collage stuff...

I hope this helps, I can ask my friend who is going through collage at the moment and get back with you.

Yeah as RMS said double spacing isn't how many spaces inbetween the words themselves but the amount of space between each sentance in a paragraph. Most my professors wanted single spaced...which sucks big gorilla arse when having to write a 10+ page paper without pics to take up space :/

Yeah waste of paper really =/ But they always want that "easy to read" crap

Heck I will take any writen thingy, there was STILL tons of time and effort typing it so that would have been good enough for me, but I guess collage people are just picky >_<

It's usualy 1.5 spacing. It is here anyway

Double spacing is good if you really don't have anything to write.

I didn't like it when profs tell us to use size 10 font, single spaced.
