For Those Who Work for a Living

Whether these makes you smile, laugh or think...they are common with all people who live in the working world!
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Never underestime the power of very stupid people in large groups.

The suit is definatly the universal business outfit for men. There is nothing else that men like to wear when doing business. I don't know why it projects the image of power.
Why it is intimidating?
"We better do what this guys says, his pants match his jacket!"

If at first you do succeed, try not to look astonished.

The difference between you and your boss: When you take a long time, you're slow; when your boss takes a long time, he/she is thorough.

My father always told me, 'Find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life.'

The trouble with being punctual is that nobody is there to appreciate it.

Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably why so few engage in it.

Start every day off with a smile and get it over with.

Never do anything memorable at an office Christmas party.

Never plan a two-day vacation. It takes two days to forget about work.

When leaving work late, you will go unnoticed. When leaving work early, you will meet the boss in the parking lot.

Let's compromise: You do it my way, and I'll do it my way.

This is so true, but not the parking lot part... I've snuck out a few times, and my boss always seems to be in the elevator area every time.

You won't believe how many people are here so early where I work. I come in at 8 and some people are already on their 1st coffee/smoke break.

That's the correct way of doing things

Those are my 3 favorites.

But I think my all time favorite quote for work would have to be.....*points down*

There is always a clique... and there is always at least one outsider.

The really sad part is when one of the bosses runs the clique.

Re: For Those Who Work for a Living

Those are pretty good.

I am in the same situation as Ally mentioned...people that show up to work at 6am!!! then they stay until around 6 or 7pm!! WTF!! I am in the military, and there is no reason that your work day should start at 6 am and end at 7pm, unless you are out in the field or deployed.

I show up to work around 8am, leave at around 430pm...and take an hour and half lunch. I only started that after I got back from Iraq...was always on duty then ... maybe would have been better.

Another good one is:
Fake it until you make it.
