You do need a rest! Please be careful.. A long time ago I had some problems with.. *cough UO addiction* and was working on almost no sleep and I once crossed lanes and almost went into the guardrail because I feel asleep briefly and I was only a few yards from the Key Bridge

So, she is back in her hospital room! Doc says surgery went textbook and she will be coming home tomorrow!

As far as the powernaps, Ive tried and usually wake up more tired than I started, which is why I try to avoid them when I can. Im a firm believer in the "slap method" tho. It takes some practice, doesnt it. I remeber the first couple times I did it. I was working 8 hours in the morning, going home for a few hours and then going to another hospital for 16 more hours. ITs funny how hard you can actually hit yourself after youve done it a few times...

Once coffee stops working (usually after about 4 cups for me no matter how long Ive been up) I really start on the water. I shoot for around 16 ounces an hour. Getting up and moving around as much as you can is neccessary once you swap to water tho...

Well, Ive got the sitter here till 9pm tonight and all the parents are working tomorrow ao Im on my own from 9pm till around 3pm tomorrow probably. Im figuring that they wont discharge Meghan till later afternoon at best. They will draw morning labs and the doc will wait for those to come back before he even goes to see her and give her the last once over. Once he does that, he will write the discharge orders and the nurse will get to work on the paperwork and such...

Well, the night is not being kind tjhus far.

Owen hasnt fallen into a good sleep since 8pm and has become the new spit-up champion of the world.

In other news, the cable company figured (rightfully so) that 3am on a Monday is a good time to dl updates to the DVR boxes so my viewing of the movie Click inbetween chnging my shirt was interrupted in the middle.

Pardon the bad typing...holding a baby and rocking the chair while typing isnt wholly conducive to proper spelling/grammar...

Im still not too sure if her boderline miraculous recovery is born of actual ease of the procedure or her truly overwhelming urge to be home with her family... Either way, we are taking good care of her and are all truly euphoric at her presence.

I get a little wordy when Im tired. Being very happy does it too, so I got both working for me!
