Ok.. so I'm thinking about buying an MP3 player.. however.. its not all for music. Ive been thinking for a long time about getting in to audio books as a means to learn more while im on the go.. and i was also thinking about recording my own stuff out of the books I already have..

Ive thought about getting a mic and recording on to the computer then transfering to the MP3 plalyer.. but.. i was hoping I could get a player with a mic jack so i could record directly to it. I know a few of them come with their own built in mics.. but i was hopeing to use a more quality mic.. one of the things im looking into studying is languages so the pronounceations have to be pretty good.

So.. what MP3 players do you have and what do you like about them?

My wife wants one at some point and I really dont know anything about them, nor do I know anyone who has one...

well the two i was looking at were the iPOD and Creative Zen Vision:M... the Zen has a built in mic which is good for what im looking for.. and but i can't find the specs on the iPOD's jack capibilities..

as far as MP3 players are concerned i think these are probably the top two. the complaints ive heard about the iPOD is that if you have a really large music libary it can be a pain to organize the songs you want to listen to...

the Zen seems better at this (at least from the reviews ive read.. but it doesn't have the accessories that the iPOD does.. most of my research is from www.cnet.com and reviews on Amazon.com..
