Well due to a request (I don't know why) I have been tasked with a Mouse report from my Orlando trip last week.
For photos you can go to my photo album here. The pics are from 2002 and 2006. We did not really take very many pictures this year as we have been six times now. I love my timeshare and really would recommend it to anyone that wants to vacation regularly. The resort we stay at is insanely wonderful. It borders the Disney property, along Animal Kingdom, and is about half the size of the entire Disney World property. The only problem I have is that the condo is over 1200 square feet...my house is barely 950 sq feet! We stayed from Sunday 11MAR to Sunday 18MAR. The 2 Sundays were pretty much just travel days. Between the flights and unpacking we really didn't do much on either Sunday. So we had six good days to goof off. Monday was set for a slow start. We went to Disney's Animal Kingdom. It is a nice park with lots of animal acts, a safari ride etc... They have a great big tree in the center of the park and inside it is a 4D show from Bugs Life. It is really a fun show. The new ride this year is the Mount Everest Expedition. A really cool roller coaster. You go up the chain, then down one hill, but as you start to go up the next hill you see the track is broken. The train stops for a few seconds and you go backwards, down thru the mountain in the dark (they switch the tracks a couple times during the ride.) You see glimpses of the abominable snowman. After you go backwards a bit you stop again and go forward, on a different track. The giant abominable snowman tries to attack but of course the track drops out just in time and you go below him! Actually a very fun ride. Tuesday was a goof off day. We got a late start and went to the pool after lunch. They just put in a new water park at the resort so we rode around in the lazy river for a few hours. I will have to fill out a negative on the comment card for the definite lack of vegetarian options at the new clubhouse. (not even a grilled cheese!) The other 2 clubhouses have good vegetarian options. But they mix a pretty good hurricane!! Wednesday was Universal's Islands of Adventure. Voted the #2 amusement park in the world!!! Second only to Sandusky. This place blows away anything Disney tries to do! Too many great coasters to tell you about them all! The Hulk is an awesome launching coaster (no chain) You launch into an inverted roll and spend almost the whole ride in some form of upside-donwness (is that a word?) They also have the dueling dragons. A dual roller coaster with intertwined tracks. You have to ride both sides at least once! Always our favorite park. Thursday we didn't do a damn thing. We were tired and it was a vacation. We did go check out a great magic shop in town. I should have bought some new tricks After dinner we went to the pool for a Mardi Gras party and to use the hot tub. Oh yeah I laid in the hammock a while. Did I mention that they mix very good hurricanes? Overall a very good day.Friday was Magic Kingdom. It was threatening to thunderstorm so it scared off the people that listen to the weather and not look at the radar pics for themselves. It was a very light crowd so we had a great time. Magic Kingdom is a good park but never really gets anything new. We did finally go see the Hall of Presidents. It was as boring as I had heard but since I have been to Disney like a dozen times so I figured I should see it at least once (LA a bunch from my Navy days, Tokyo once, and Orlando 3 times, still need to get Europe and Hong Kong Disney trips). The Haunted Mansion is always fun. Great hologram ghosties. And Space Mountain has always been one of my favorite coasters. It is not a wild upside down kind of ride but it is totally enclosed and has lots of stars and such to make it look like you are in space. Saturday was another goof off day. We try to take it easy every other day so it actually feels like a vacation. Our first trip was so over scheduled I came home totally exhausted! Hung out at the condo, did laundry, drove around town a little, went out to dinner. Sunday was our flight home. We had a 2 hour layover in New Orleans. Horrid airport. Very cramped and dirty. Nasty dirty like a highway gas station bathroom! And the bar mixes the worst hurricane I have ever had! As usual we had a great time. Next year we are considering Scotland. If anyone knows what to do for fun there let me know. Here is a pic of the back of our condo. I love Orange Lake! ![]() Tuka ![]() ![]() Kinsmen are born. Friendship is a gift of the gods.

Re: Mouse report
*claps* Great Mouse report. Next time sailor, we want an after action report on the QT as soon as your report back to home base.
Scotland makes a mean scotch hurricane:grin: . make sure you go the the laphroiag lowlands for me. You can buy a 12*12" plot of land there for only $100. It is one of the most famous lowland single malt whiskeys ( others say it tastes like a cigar ash tray, but what do THEY know!) in Scotland. I have a 9 year old bottle I have been nursing for 16 months. makes a GREAT marinade. Golf. You almost HAVE to golf, in a kilt. ![]() Useful links [UO:F Common FAQ] [UO Stratics] [UO Guide] [Official UO Play Guide] [Search UO] [FindUO.com] [UO Feedback] [More Links, gathered by the Forum] [b][size="3"]Got a Question, or a great answer? Re: Mouse report
Nice pics. I live in Orlando, and I look past most of this stuff because I see it everyday. It is nice to see pictures from someone else that gives a different angle on things that I would normally just overlook as already seen/done that.
