Yesterday I was talking on the phone and when I hung up I wanted to make another call. When I went to dial all I heard was a busy signal so I hung up and tried again. Instead of a dial tone I still heard the busy signal. Then I went to my neighbor's house and callled my house from hers and got a recording that said my number was temporarily disconnected. There is no reason it should be disconnected because my bill is paid, I even called to verify that.

So yesterday at 12, the lady tells me she's putting a work order in and the latest I should have to wait for it to be fixed is 3:30 PM today. I wasn't happy about it but what was I gonna do? I called in this morning and asked if they had any updates on it. Some man got really smart with me and said it was done lastnight and the work order was put in as completed.

I kind of got an attitude with him then because I have been using my cell phone to call them and have used a bunch of minutes because they are always putting me on hold. I tried to explain that to him and then he comes off with "Well maybe if you paid your bill..." that's all he got out before I flipped. I don't think I have ever been so mean to someone on the phone as I was with him. And to top it all off he transfers me to accounts receivable who then transfers me back to him with one of their supervisors on the phone as well.

So here I am, only a cell phone to use, and they tell me the latest it will be fixed is 7 PM tomorrow. With kids I really can't afford to be without a phone. You never know what you'll need to call about. I will say however that the supervisor was really nice and willing to help as much as she could. She even said that the time they gave me was what it would normally take but she was going to try and rush it through since it was listed as completed when it wasn't and it was an inconvenience for me. I sure do hope my week gets a little better.

What a pain...I hope they get it fixed for you soon!

Don't yuou just love running into some schmuck who thinks he has a little authority and gets all snotty about it? I hope they get it fixed for you without another incidence!

I think what bothers me the most is the fact that I do have people who call me regularly and are now getting the message that my phone is temporarily disconnected. That is so embarassing to me...like I didn't pay my bill. Well that and that I may miss a call from the school if one of my kids needs something. I don't need the school thinking bad thoughts about me.

soccermom, recently we had dealings with the phone/dsl company...not good either.
If that guy was so snotty i hope you wrote down his name and time you talked to him, as you could report him. I know that doesn't sound nice, but neither does the comment he told you.
