How did you choose your board name?

Just curious

My old name (Deimos) I got from some space based simulation game called Freespace 2, heh
Current name is my real name, just figured it'd be easier than making up a new "online" name

I got mine originally from my biker club nickname, Dude, where I got from The Big Lebowski. Then I just put that and my name together, and bam, there you have Thatdudenamedbo!

Mine is the same as my main character in UO. I don't exactly remember how I came up with Gwenyth since she wasn't my first character. I don't even think I planned on keeping her for long when I made her...

My sn is my tamers name in UO because most people know me by that character.

My very first character in UO? um.... oh god it was something stupid like Macina (that was to let me know she was a macer). She got deleted when I died since I didn't know that I could just get ressed and have the same character. (this was my first MMORPG)

My first character in UO was named Corrigan..and that was the name I assumed on the boards for a long time.

I found the name Thradia looking at elf RP stuff and it became one of my characters names....I liked it so I began to use it as my username on most things now.

Used the name Ly-Las scince i was a kid doing pen and paper roleplay. It was my first UO character name.

My uo chars names are all from different books I've read. Aliana, Alixana, Maegwin and Miriamele.

My forum name Ally, can't remember when I started using it, been Ally for a long time.

Being the "baby" in my family created my name... basically an older brother and sister calling me a dip****. Then shortend it to just dip and it stuck with me throughout my life... must be that brotherly and sisterly love.

Yes my first UO character's name is DiP, and so is my 3rd.

On a side note... I would have used a different name handed to me by my friends in high school, but the naming system in UO wouldn't let me use numbers and satan just doesn't have the same feel for me as s8n did.

I'm only a few months away from my 2 year anniversary. My user ID is the name of my first UO character, Rhus Radicans, which was the old Latin designation for poison ivy. (It's now toxicodendron radicans, I think.) Rhus is semi-retired on the Atlantic shard, but is a pretty good warrior; a pure paladin, with a nice set of arty armor dyed green with Tokuno dyes. He's sort of an Aryan god, all blond hair and muscles, rather stupid.

Well I completely made up the name Yuallica. Actually I made up several possible names, plus different variations/spellings of Yuallica, and then googled them all. I chose the one that didn't bring up anything else.
I figured it was a good way to get a unique name :grin:

My first UO character was Legacyee... heh, easy to remember since I've still got the character- I've only been playing about a year and a half.
