LOL, I remember those signatures!
Ahhhhhh you were a brutal mod sir! (j/k )

Regarding the rules and free speech

I tend to think of UOForums as a home, as opposed to some forum on the net

If I were to walk into someone's house, at an open party and then start jumping on the furniture, calling people names and other stupid stuff, i'm 99.9% sure, i'd be asked to leave

Same applies here, this is a home away from home, for alot of people
People don't want to come here and find a bunch of idiots ruining the fun

It's abit like when you goto a pub or club, it's an open, public place, but there's allways someone, or a group of people who get loud and rowdy, or the ones who start fights or throw food around

For some reason, SOME forums or websites, tolerate those kinds, they tolerate the trouble makers and for whatever reason, never take action on them

I don't tolerate them, I have little to no tolerance for idiots, which is why this place, is pretty peaceful.

Re: On Free Speech

Does that mean it's still OK, that I didn't read the TOS here either?

Re: On Free Speech

For the life of me I can not find the original post. But I'm 99.9% sure it was me, and considering the fact that I can't find/remember it, I can assure you it was said in jest.

Mostly for the fact that in itself, the statement shows how idiotic the term "free speach" actually is.

"Does the American version of free speach apply to an internet web forum based out of Europe?"

#1 "the American version of free speach" - speech was spelled incorrectly because most individuals in the U.S. of A. have an incorrect view on what free speech really is.

#2 "free speach apply to an internet web forum based out of Europe?" - brought up for the simple fact that online conduct is still in a grey area when applied to law & justice. Also the "based out of Europe" was a quick jab at the U.S. because it's widely known we are the land of the free, yet we (the general public) think we're the only ones with anything free.

#3 Someone said it correct in here, free speech is not free, speech is allowed as long as your willing to pay the price of what is said. (let's not forget the "American version of free speech" is free because someone else paid the price for you)
